I upvoted this not because I think it's funny or cool, but because I hope to get you on the popular page so more people will read this and offer advice.
My advice is try to find a club you can join. Even if you have a hard time talking to people, perhaps it's made easier if you can talk to them about something you enjoy and are interested in. And this way you always have a safetynet when the conversation dwindles.
