You know what really blew my mind? The closest accent to the one in Shakespeare's time is not modern British English, it is the American accent.
Apparently what happened is that after colonizing North America, the British started developing a different accent which over many years has led to a huge departure from what it sounded like in Shakespeare's time.
The British immigrants in the US didn't follow the trend in England and kept their original accent and therefor the US accent is now more similar to how English was spoken way back in Shakespeare's time.
TL:DR
If you want to be time period appropriate, you should always use and American accent when reciting Shakespeare.

I'm pretty sure it's not one guy in India or China. In fact I would expect it has permeated all of western society.
These are the corporations big enough to influence our governments through lobbying and donations for legislation in their favor, they are also the same people who will kill the planet for profit.
It sounds like conspiracy theories, but it's not! These facts have been proven! Yet we are struggling to unite. What we need is a friggin ol' timey revolution.

I know someone who proudly exclaims that they are not "reasonable" and that they can "feel" what's true. Whenever I try to scientifically explain something, they act like I've just personally attacked them.
Once we had a discussion about whether disease is scientific, or as they believe, caused by aliens taking over human bodies.
Honest to god, they frustrate me to my limits.
