one of the reasons to teach kids to handle animals properly instead of watching annoyedly and then bitching about it on the internet.

this is a very bad child care system if nobody comes back to check on a roomful of babies for a time long enough for them to starve to death :/

god i wish men had periods too. i'd love to see the whiniest, weaest half of the population writhe in agony every month, freak out monumentally if their period was late, scream like a fire alarm when they'd wake up with their genitals, pajamas, sheets and bed covered in blood, having to be sedated in order for a doctor to check their genitals&shove things up their private parts regurarly since highschool or earlier. GOD I FUCKING WISH MEN HAD PERIODS. I WISH SO MUCH.

actually you gotta irrigate the ear for a little while. and it's prolly a good idea not to try this at home. or standing up. you might get nausea, vertigo, loss of balance, etc.

what you call 'almost no work' i call long, tedious, painful years of studying and learning how to examine someone and be able to say with a large amount of certainty that they're fine and can go home, carry on with their life.
also, if you'd rather pay 2000$ for the doctor to tell you your spine is fractured and you'll probably never walk again, i'm sure it could be arranged by a prior shove down some stairs. just tell the hospital staff you think they don't deserve to get paid because you've arrived to your check-up healthy and i'm sure they'll be more than happy to oblige.

The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer is a p. much children's novel but it makes a p. relevant point related to this issue.
Mainly, it serve to illustrate how that could go FUCKING HORRIBLY wrong.
