honestly, i sometimes wish we all would. why should i bust my ass for 6 years + residency + who knows how many years of hard work ? wages? get a lot more a lot easier in some other field. fucking gratitude? like i'm gonna get any. to help the human race survive? now THAT'S A JOKE.

also, to recap: why should doctors get paid for that 5 min exam after which they tell you you're a-okay? because it takes skill and knowledge to determine that you're a-okay. medical professional have to do years of hard hard work to become capable of telling you in 5 DAMN MINUTES that you're a-okay so you can go home happy, knowing you're lucky and have no medical problems. you should be grateful: a) for you health (tons of people aren't that lucky) and b) for the fact that medical professionals are obliged to take care of everyone, even the assholes that claim we don't deserve our (usually p. miserable) wages. additionally, there's a c) option: be grateful that there still are people like myself who are faced with bizzare lack of gratitude and acknowledgement every day and YET we still walk on though the pain and finish medschool etc.
