Awww. I have a similar story, my fat cat Fred was once a stray since he was a kitten! We adopted him (more like he adopted us, he wandered up to our house), and he wouldn't leave us and we couldn't part with him. Now he's fat, happy and snuggles constantly.

My cat was dumped behind a dentist office when he was a kitten. He wandered up to us in September and we love him to death! All our pets except my horse have showed up this way. I think it's gods special way of saying "I think this one's good for you". I've had the most amazing and sweet dogs and cats over the years and some of them have had stories kind of like Pip's :)

We had to shave my husky/wolf/German Shepard/chow mix in summer here in Kentucky, poor girl got way too hot without it. And yes, you leave fur on them! You leave what you need to and shave the excess.

No but you aren't the ones with cramps so bad that when my friend gets them she can't stand up. Of course it varies person to person but I think my point is made. all I'm saying is that we kinda do have a reason because our hormones are constantly on a flux throughout the month, and sometimes when we hit rock bottom it hurts, literally. Periods suck.
