Tortoise not turtle. Throw those puppies in water and all you'll get is a bunch of dead tortoises.

The question is wrong. They should have worded it as asking for a quarter of the bars remaining not the remaining quarter. 16-4 is 12 and a quarter of 16 is 4. So what is a remaining quarter? Is it of the original amount that the first quarter was taking from? Or is it a quarter of the remaining amount? The remaining amount wasn't quartered but they're still asking for the quartered amount without indicating which amount was supposedly quartered. Logically the only amount that was quartered was 16 therefore she must be asking for an additional quarter (4) giving her half the total amount. So now she's taken 8 candy bars from Rachel. She deserves a slap.

Solitary confinement is actually really hard the human psyche. It's actually one of the worst things you can do without physically touching a person.

Even knowing what they're talking about it's still a stretch to say it looked anything like Hitler.

This is also why you are innocent until proven guilty and it has be without a shadow of doubt. Then there is the fact that even if a guilty verdict is given the judge sets the sentence. Like you said it's not flawless but it's designed to have checks and balances to make it as fair as possible.

The Faerie Ring reference I get but you may not get a nap out of it. Instead you may just be walking along and suddenly it's a couple hundred years later. You just travel into Faerie and out but while you were in Faerie time moved ridiculously slow compared to Earths. Of course that's one of the "nice" outcomes so you can count yourself lucky.

The Hobbits didn't exist when he made the rings. They are a relatively new race for Middle Earth. I believe the Silmarillion covers some of their history.

I still hold the theory that the stormtroopers missed so much in the original trilogy because they were told too. Even Obi-one said that only the empire was so precise in their attacks when they found the Jawa transport attacked. And they did a great job on Hoth hitting the entrenched resistance fighters from great distances.

Your brain can only really focus on one major source of pain at a time. So punching yourself can cause your brain to switch tracks as it were and end the pain.

You are correct but if someone chooses to look then the person wearing the clothes shouldn't expect them to look elsewhere either. A person should have the right to wear the clothes they like as long as they also understand that people have the right to look. Don't like someone staring at you when you wear revealing clothing, don't wear revealing clothing.

Yeah no, I don't think so. I have no interest in either of those things. I'll stick to my interests that I've always had and now have a chance to actually do.

I always thought this was amusing. It almost always came up as some sort of rule that students said but was never, in any school I attended, an actual rule. If anyone actually left, regardless of how late the teacher was, they would be marked as not attending the class. The only time you were excused is when someone from the administration came by and let everyone go.
