There used to be a solid gold cap stone and the entire thing was plastered to make it smooth. Granted is was nothing that a few thieves and couple of millennia couldn't cure though.

Either I'm not remembering it correctly or I was oblivious but I don't remember GundamZ having much of that.

Unless of course they have exobiologists or exodoctors. Presumably any society that can travel the distances between the stars would have them.

I thought number 6 was how you adjusted your glasses when you're used to having blades on your fingers.

I've met people of all generations that can't read a clock so it's not surprising that people aren't teaching others how to read a clock.

A dull axe is still very much lethal 1 comments

Both would regularly sharpen them and maintain them with an edge. In battle both would dull and both would still remain lethal. But if you think they wouldn't have preferred a sharp edge all the time your fooling yourself. The only guys that didn't care about the edge were maul users. Even maces generally had edges and they kept those as sharp and straight as they could.

I mean one of them is wearing an aviators helmet and goggles so I don't know how accurate they were attempting but it was funny.

Just another in the trend that stereotypes, in the worst possible manner, people based on their affiliations or actions. Even when their affiliations or actions don't actually mean anything or have any real connotations good or bad. Then they refuse to even talk about it and instead just they just yell and holler showing their own bigotry and ignorance. Can't blame the guy for just walking out. With those type of people the only thing you can do, and the most effective, is just ignore them.

According to Urban Dictionary "A word used when you agree with something; or when you want to recognize someone for being themselves, i.e. courageous and unique or not caring what others think. Especially common in online political slang." Though I've never heard or read it being used that way. In fact I've never seen it used with a positive connotation.

The punt gun was basically a shot gun. They would scare the ducks into the air and then fire. They could take out entire flocks up to around 200 ducks in one shot.

I do that for books I know are going to be good and I'm reading them for the first time. That way the thrill of the story comes back every time I listen to the song.

Same thing with the sacking of Baghdad. Prior to the Hunns sacking it and salting their fields it was THE center of learning in the world. They used to actively collect copies of every book they came across in the world. Had scholars whose sole job was copying and collecting knowledge. They were centuries beyond the rest of the world in certain things. They even used to perform cataract surgery.

Wasn't just high tones but that was generally what they were used for. Notable Castrati would have at least a 3 octave range and many could do more.

"Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times". This is not completely true nor is necessarily wrong but, it does seem to present itself repeatedly in our society. It's all to easy for us to get complacent because we currently have strength. And that complacency blinds people to the enemies we have that are just waiting for a weakness to present itself to strike.

My next question is "what are 5 minute crafts?" but I can guess that that's crafts that are supposed to be done in 5 minutes.

You know I never understood where that name came from. It was something the older kids called it when I was young so that's what we called it. After that it kinda stuck.

There are things in physics that you need massive amounts of learning to understand. These things can be explained simply but not correctly or correctly but not simply. My favorite is when trying to explain gravity, gravity wells, and gravity between systems as it relates to celestial bodies. With a hands on explanation/model you can see the effects which mimic reality but why they happen is completely different in the models as compared to the real thing.
