Sea Squirt 5 comments

Those sea squirts look like that. Others? Not so much. Some look even cooler and others like a brown or yellow blob.

They do actually see colors. It's just a limited spectrum. https://thebark.com/content/what-colors-do-dogs-see

You either think Dbz is better than every other anime or worse than every other anime, 4 comments

I disagree. It is a good starter Anime though. It's still in my top ten but not my favorite. That rotates between Cowboy Bebop, Trigun, and Baby Steps depending on my mood. Other favourites include One Piece, Hunter X Hunter, One Punch Man, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Overlord.

Realistically? They're too big for many of the predators in their regions to hunt. They're docile, and not prone to quick sudden movements. They're warm.

I feel like guns would have made Harry Potter a lot shorter. Wizards had spells to throw objects at each other to hurt or distract them and a gun would have been extremely effective. Especially against the isolationist purebloods.

He also broke the trend. It was the trend at the time to use pop songs and other contemporary radio songs for a soundtrack. In fact he got some grief for not using the same formula prior the release of the first film.

Toast, I've always toasted them until they just turn brown. At that level they're slightly crispy on the outside but the inside is melted.

It's amusing because he reacts at a personal level to things. A God level threat endangering all humanity is really just too big of a thing to truly understand so it just slides on by. It's also why he just runs around alot thrashing monsters as he comes across them. There is no big picture with him just the immediate.

Funny. True, but I didn't need a color test to tell me that.

I think this was discussed once about why we see college age or older acting as high school age. The gist was that good young actors are harder to come by and actors at college age and beyond tend to have more skill. So to fill parts it's just plain easier to get a bunch of okay college actors since their skill level is about the same as a really good younger actor. It can be done, all kinds of shows use actual kid actors but if you have an easier and possibly cheaper method producers will go for it.

The information would still need a computer interface otherwise you'd never be able to tell the glass what info to store. The glass would be acting like an external hard drive. So all you would need to do is hack the computers and then you have access to the hard drive windows.

No see that's where your wrong. 25 year old guys are acting like 25 year old guys. Just because it's something a 12 year old guy would do doesn't make it something only a 12 year old would do.

My favourite part is that Zoro exercises in his room. On his ship. He's got several tons of weights in his room. On board a wooden ship.
The bats get a bad rap 11 comments

Bat's have a bad rap? You know I don't think I've ever heard someone say anything really negative about bats. I think it's their association with vampires so everyone is assuming they have a bad rap but don't actually think they're bad. Which means they don't actually have a bad rap. It's really quite amusing to think about.

I'm not positive but I think it has to do with the implied "you". Don't dare can mean a completely different thing so it can't have the implied you and mean the same thing. Whereas do not dare can have the implied you and still mean the same thing. So the sentences "Do not dare, (insert something you can do)" and "Don't you dare, (insert something you can do)" mean the same thing. But without the you Don't you dare becomes Don't dare which means to not dare, not not to do something but instead to simply not dare.

Good job Mexico 7 comments

So not to put a downer on this cause it is cool but Mexico also had indentured servitude until it was outlawed in 1915. Many of the rich former slave owners in Mexico just continued slavery in this way. There were protections in place for peons but if you didn't know what they were or had a police force that would enforce them in many places it was practically the same except it was "legal" and not "slavery".
