Luke wasn't the chosen one. He didn't bring balance to the force or any of the stuff the prophesied one was supposed to do. Vader was the chosen one, who became bad, then brought balance when he killed the emperor. Luke was just the hero who became the catalyst to make the prophesied one do his job. The only correlation between Dune and Star Wars is that they both take place in space and not on Earth. There ends the similarity.

Speculation, since we can't know. The sacking of Baghdad though was a huge blow. They were performing rudementary cataract surgery, had entire groups of scholars doing nothing but collecting and copying books and scrolls then passing them onto the schools. Then the Huns showed up, then they had some plagues, then came the zealots.

Ya'll don't even know. Those things weighed a ton and it was all lopsided. They didn't have places to grip them and if they did it was usually a single hand slot on the back which meant if you tried to pick it up it'd fall forward onto the screen cause that's where the weight was.

Side note not related to time travel in general. I have read a couple books where they take into account, at least in passing, that they must increase or decrease their relative velocity/spin ....etc when entering a new solar system. That way they don't do something fun like slam into a planet. Not something that's ever covered by the big franchises.

I always just feel bad for the guy that invents time travel but forgot the planet, the solar system, and the galaxy all move and travels back in time but in the same space the planet will be be at the time they traveled from.

I think that would have to be spelled "cowward" then. Right now coward, if you take it like toward, forward, etc... would be in the direction of the co. Have no idea what a co is so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

I still like that story about the Orc rogue that never put anything into dexterity. Instead, they just dumped it all in ^those and would just stomp in and yell "YOU DON"T SEE ME" at the guards.

I can totally see someone saying that when they are trying to get something across they need or want done but have no idea how to say it. On the flip side they could also be jerks but that's rarer then most people and social media would have you believe.

This reminds me of the Mythbusters. They were not and are still not friends (Jaime and Adam). They had a great respect for each other, the others ability to work, and the work they did, but generally didn't like each other. Contrarily, they did work well together because of that respect and their differing viewpoints. That and they acted like adults when they did have disagreements.

Truthfully, I generally don't want to hear your opinion. However, I'm never going to tell you not to give your opinion or work to prevent you from voicing your opinion. The only. and I do me only. caveat is that if you're giving your opinion it needs to be in the correct manner. If you're having a conversation with me that is an appropriate time. If I'm having a conversation with someone else and you yell out over them or me, unsolicited, then you and your opinion is garbage. Giving your opinion in a respectful manner means I'm going to respect you whether or not I agree. And I will defend your right to that opinion even if I hate it.

Not disagreeing but there is an interesting concept that I know is in development that may make electric cars more reasonable, "powered roads". The concept is that the cars are charged wirelessly from the roads themselves. So while driving on the road you don't actually need a to use batteries and the on board batteries will be charged from the road to give you power when you're not using a powered road. Yes, I know, there are massive complications and considerations for this but it is a cool concept.

Mostly because each of the spellings represent something completely different. Many stories have Fae, Fairies, Fair Folk and the Fey while also using Faerie to represent a land.

Brief history lesson: The motorcar saved New York City.
So before cars became widely used everyone used horse drawn carts, everyone knows this. What you may not be aware of is how much horses left behind. Horse feces was apparently so prevalent in New York City that it piled up on the sides of the roads like snow. That's not even counting the corpses of horses left if they died. Here's a fun article if you want to read more: https://99percentinvisible.org/article/cities-paved-dung-urban-design-great-horse-manure-crisis-1894/
