Earth's only natural satellite is simply called "the Moon" because people didn't know other moons existed until Galileo Galilei discovered four moons orbiting Jupiter in 1610. https://solarsystem.nasa.gov/moons/earths-moon/overview/

Umm yes, but also no. If you're an adult there is no-one to tell you, you can't wear the suit. Only your overburdened sense of maturity is keeping you from doing what you wish and having fun. Go on, do it. Don't give in to that useless mindset.

The Cleansing of the Temple tells me Jesus didn't support small businesses 1 comments

Well no, he didn't have anything against what they were doing. It's where they were doing it. The Temple was considered sacred and a place for worship (the old meaning of that word). There wasn't supposed to be any businesses in the Temple so it just highlights the corruption going on then.

Love looking at the posters profile and seeing their last comment was six years ago and yet they post multiple times a month. It's almost like something is using an inactive account to make posts by re-posting old ones.

Personally, I'd like to see actions and laws put in place to help mitigate much of the stupid. Laws like term limits in the Senate, The House, and Governor offices. No more 20, 30, or 40 years in elected positions. Maximum limit for total campaign funds set at $100k. The amount of money that changes hands make campaigns a very profitable business for many politicians. Make it illegal for corporations and for profit groups to practice lobbying. Complete transparency for all funds used by any elected official. True oversight on non-elected positions in government with real consequences that match what would happen to the average citizen if they acted in the same manner.

If either party would just stop doing their best to spite the other and instead did their best to actually work with each other in a reasonable fashion most of the issues could be resolved. Instead they all want to play the blame game. When either party "tries" to work with the other they blame the other party for not cooperating when they don't completely capitulate to "their" views. Or they claim something should be "common ground" and then do their best to ensure it's entirely one sided. It's all stupid.

Just to be clear I'm not arguing for or against any party. My main point is that almost all of the issues the Left blames the Right for, the Right blames the Left for. These are just a few of them "Defund the Police" campaign endangering citizens while using campaign funds to hire private security. Antifa- Known extremist left group leading riots across the country. Multiple riots staged by busing perpetrators from city to city. Campaign funds from the left used to house and feed perpetrators of riots. Creating rules and circumstances that separated children from their parents and then blaming the right when they followed the laws they created. There was no coup attempt, at best it was a riot but was labeled a coup attempt in order to justify the holding without charge multiple US citizens in disregard to laws established at the founding of the country.

Which again, is exactly the same thing the right says about the left. Only they would be described as placing more power into the government while limiting the ability of regular citizens to remain independent and backing mega-corporations in a desperate bid to gain even more power for themselves. Whereas the right would describe themselves as being still about giving the public the ability to access basic necessities and improving their own lives while the left keeps doing more extreme stuff.
The reality is that the majority of both sides are the exactly the same. They just want to get on with their lives and have the ability to make it a good one.

Hot leaf water is the best. Especially when you make hot leaf water cold with some solid water.

I have no kids, but my job does involve working with kids every day. My parents are great parents. Any advice I give will be based off of what my parents did or what works with kids I know. I will absolutely pass on advice if I think it would help even though I have no kids.

Well yes, but no. Really it just means that unless you follow the "proper" method of quitting you'll get fired. Depending on the labor laws that could mean they are then no longer required to do things they would have to if you "quit" instead.

I saw this on a show and my immediate thought was "That's stupid. How am I supposed to know what book to read if I can't see the titles." The purpose of having books is to read them. Any other reason is pure nonsense and should be dismissed as irrational drivel.

You gonna get trapped by them faeries you keep messing around like that. They don't play by our rules and it doesn't matter what you say. The receiver decides whether the obligation exists and faeries don't mess around with that stuff. For that matter, some of them will decide you are now obligated to give them a favor because they accepted your cookies. The acceptance was their favor to you and if you're fool enough to go around placing yourself in their debt then they'll happily take you up on it.

You know there's a an old folk story similar to that glass landing on it's side question. It was about a machine that made salt when you turned it on. Gist of the story is it fell into the ocean and that's why they're salt water.
