Yeah I thought names like that were from those areas, and have been around so long that they’re our “normal”, or were altered variations of them. Plus the fact that Christianity and its names swept the entire world like wildfire....
My name Dustin which is considered a Norman name (iirc), but is believed to come from the Scandinavian name “Torsten” Which is where most of my family hails from.
