I don't know if I've ever experienced the amount of joy that's on this boy's face.

Is the committee still open to new members? Because I move to ban all jokes about bicycles as well.

Would this by any chance be in Damariscotta, Maine? Because we went to pumpkin boat race and I swear this guy was there.

Meh, I disliked the ending as well, but I think Light was too far gone to keep any of this up for much longer. Besides, if the stress and psychosis didn't drive him to suicide early on, eventually he would die. Despite what he thought of himself, he's still only human - sooner or later, something will kill him, even just old age. And then, even if he HAD managed to purify the world by killing off all the criminals, the world would just revert back to its previous crime-infested state. The whole concept of the show, at least how I saw it, is to emphasize how small we humans are in the grand scheme of things, illustrated by Ryuk's presence throughout the show and his final "it's been interesting," or whatever he says. If Light won, that aspect of the plot is lost.

Ahem, friendly nerd here, I mean no harm.
Judging from the texture and size of Ariel's shell bikini, the type of mollusk she viciously ripped open was most likely a scallop. Scallops have a flat "hinge" of sort where the two shells come together, but the rest of the shell has ridges much like those seen in Ariel's bikini. Additionally, scallops can grow up to 9 inches but can be smaller than that - more than enough room to cover a petite mermaid's boobs. Finally, clams of this size and not the enormous tropical ones are most often white or a pale yellow or blue - not purple. However, scallops are known for their pretty markings and color, so why wouldn't she choose one?

I feel this on a spiritual level.
Not being a father, the whole "human disaster" part.
