You are never to good to ignore the basics 17 comments

That's fair, in places where guns aren't as prevalent it probably isn't as big a deal. But keep in mind that it only takes one incident to really shaft someone forever. Which could be prevented by learning/ teaching the basics (something entirely doable in less than half an hour).

A very real problem with bringing up kids "gun free" is they likely never learn the rules, only that guns are bad. So if they ever do end up around a gun, they're actually a lot more prone to gun related accidents. When I was little my grandfather took me out and had me shoot a soda can. Naturally it was shredded. He then picked it up and showed it to me, and impressed upon me that I could have just as easily done that to a person. He then made sure I understood never to point a gun at anything I didn't fully intend to kill. Bottom line, don't just raise kids away from guns and tell them they're bad. Teach people how to properly handle a gun in a controlled manner, and they become exponentially safer around them.

If you drink bad water, you've usually got roughly 10 days before seeing adverse effects, as whatever in it that will make you sick takes time to incubate. If you're in a bind, when in doubt, drink the water.

You've got the iron fist, which depends a great deal on inner peace and self control. Chi and whatnot.

Problem is who writes the test, because they would have a lot of control over what they understand about said bill and even who could vote

So your right to some extent, the scandanavians never actually went and sacked Rome, but the other barbarian people's like the goths and such did, and they were pretty similar culturally, so I kinda grouped them in there

Looking at it historically I'm pretty sure Spartans had already pretty much disappeared by the time Romans had taken over, and then, for reasons I still don't properly understand, Vikings basically crapped all over the Romans, and terrorized northern Britain and Scotland for ages.
