They are used to suck blood out of large hematomas, meaning less blood that the body needs to reabsorb as well as less pressure, overall helping the wound to heal much faster.

Ok so just a couple historical comments on all this.
A great deal of the laws recorded in the old testament was for the Israelites in a rough time in human history, not only for their protection from neighboring enemies but also from immoral practices within their own community. (Note, they screwed up a lot and didn't always follow through with the laws, but that's a side note).
The laws established by God wasn't necessarily to try to make the people better and more like Him, because that's impossible for them to do. Instead they were designed to point towards no matter how hard they/we try, we are a sinful race and screw up all the time. They would sacrifice lambs, oxen, doves, etc. as a blood offering for the wickedness of what they've done.
Then comes Jesus. He is the lamb, the blood offering to cover the sins of mankind from beginning to end. There isn't a "lapse" in the laws, the laws changed (where they made sense to, example eating pigs vs. Murdering a pregnant woman).

On one hand, you have more freedom, less cliques, and if you so choose, less drama in general.
Then again you will most likely go over 3 straight weeks getting less than four hours of sleep every single night until you quiver like a chihuahua from all the coffee you've been drinking.

O- is the universal donor because it doesn't have any of the other things attached, and therefore nothing that someone else's blood will see as a threat and try to attack.
AB+ is the universal acceptor because it has all of them, and therefore will recognize all of the extra enzymes as friendly.

What was there to defend against? This "generalization" was rwby simply saying you can't criticize those groups of people. Which, as demonstrated in the above comment thread. you can't.

I had an epiphany with this several months ago. In the last 5 months, I have lost 25+ pounds. My brother has lost 75+.
Whenever I tell this to people, often times I hear, "oh honey. You're beautiful just how you are!" And then we proceed with the Why I wanted to lose it and yada yada. Fit and healthy is beautiful, too, and for some reason it is under attack.

FUN FACT
The trojans were actually going to burn it until one of the prophets of Apollo threw a spear at it. Suddenly, two giant sea serpents rose out of the water, grabbed him and his two sons, And ripped them apart. Trojans freaked the hell out and fully believed the horse was protected by Poseidon (horses are his one of his favorite creatures). To keep from pissing him off, they veeery carefully pulled it inside.
This is the real reason they accepted the horse.
