@ the title:
"People talk about the middle of the road as though it were unacceptable. Actually, all human problems, excepting morals, come into the gray areas. Things are not all black and white. There have to be compromises. The middle of the road is all of the usable surface. The extremes, right and left, are in the gutters."

I know is joke but USMCA is the new NAFTA. The trump admin, Canada, and Mexico renegotiated the trade agreement made in the 90's to promote trade between the north american countries (NAFTA) and so it became USMCA (an abbreviation of all the countries' names)

Different strokes for different folks. If it weren't for goals, fixation on productivity, and improving myself i would've offed myself a long time ago. Imo people need goals to reach otherwise there's no point to life

Every guy checking out Emma Watson‘s butt at a UN meeting 6 comments

Would've been easier to give an answer than try to be snarky. She's been (idk if she still is) an ambassador for the UN for several years. Her predominant area of expertise is women rights and womens education in developing/third world countries.

As far as I can tell this is how rebar is made in countries that often lack the machinery to do it any other way. This is most often an occurrence in places like India and China as the scrap iron industry is so huge and rebar is so easy to produce

Testing the tensile strength of a weld 6 comments

These tests are typically done before a welder (the individual) is allowed to weld at a given jobsite/place of employment. These tests can take two different routes. DT (Destructive testing) and NDT (Non-destructice testing). An employer will decide which tests are necessary for whatever task the welder will be doing.
The example above is a destructive test and it's purpose is to pull the material beyond it's ability to remain in one piece. That being said the weld itself should always be stronger than that of the original material so it should never break. The original material should break before the weldment ever does. The bend test is similar but rather than pulling like the tensile test the bend test bends the material in a U shape in order to put as much strain on the weldment as possible. If the weldment tears then the welds no good.
Then you have NDT but I've typed enough of an essay lmao
