I disagree, I think that in order for society to progress, we have to allow everyone to go where they work best within it. Otherwise, there may be geniuses with the secret to our survival being told that they are only good for popping out babies.

Plus just because you have the ambition to go somewhere doesn't mean you will. You can go through college and be really good at what you're doing and it won't make a damn difference if no one is hiring. Someone has to work minimum wage jobs, and there frankly aren't enough teenagers who are interested in getting a job to do so. - Also I apologize, I don't check date stamps before I open my mouth.

Yeah, women being mistreated and viewed as inferior, treated as objects, served us great! Especially that whole thing about people not being able to do something they really enjoy or are really good at just because they do or don't have a penis. Some men are really great cooks, or good with children, some women are great fighters and leaders, and just because you were born with certain organs doesn't mean you should have to do something you don't like or you completely suck at. As a human being, I should be able to choose what it is I do with my life, whether that is being the breadwinner and head of my family, or being a stay at home mother. Gender roles are about as stupid as a Caste system. Circumstances of your birth should not effect what you are allowed to do with your life, as long as you are proficient at doing those things.

Furthermore, have you ever heard anyone say that in a kind 'I'm trying to help you out' way? No, it's said as a joke, or as an insult, just like telling someone they hit like a girl.

Um. Except that is used as a bad thing. If you're* a quarterback, and when you're acting emotional, someone says not to act "like a lineman" what does that convey to the linemen? There is nothing that is gender exclusive that any boy should be told not to "act like a girl" over. The same thing is said about throwing like a girl, running like a girl. There are girls who aren't emotional, and there are girls who run and throw great. You can't tell what this is saying because you don't know the circumstances of what the kid is being told, but even if the message won't be that boys are better than girls, it won't be a good message. It will be you can't (be emotional/have certain hobbies/do what you want to) because you aren't the other gender.

I do... all of these, except aries. I'm a virgo, but mostly I follow Gemini, Cancer, and aquarius. All at the same time. And if it goes on too long I'll fall asleep midsentence.

But you don't need to wear something you feel stifled in to be beautiful either, is what I'm trying to say. I don't mean that she is, just that everyone has different boundaries.

She could be extremely beautiful half naked too, for all you know. Be comfortable with what you wear, no matter what that is. Confidence is beautiful, strength of personality is beautiful, being who you want to be is beautiful. Just don't wear things to try to get attention, wear them because you like them... And also be mindful of where you're going. If you're going to a formal event, skinny jeans probably not the way to go. If you're going somewhere public, have some decency for others as well as remaining comfortable.
I don't see what's wrong with showing shoulders, or even knees. As long as you aren't flashing anybody one way or another.

Does saying "thank you, I know" seem egotistical? Idk, I feel like just because you are self-confident doesn't make that rude or full of it. Bringing it up yourself "I'm so gorgeous,, right?" would be, but if you get a compliment why would that be cocky.

I've had like 4 doctor appointments in my memory. Twice it was for strep throat, after my mom telling me it was "just a cough" for two weeks. >>

We don't have any real statistics on that point, due to the fact that some people (including some men) figure that 'if it was possible to have sex, he must have wanted it', and also due to many men being too proud or embarrassed to admit that they were treated that way by a woman. With both those factors in play, there could be just as many female rapists as male, and we just don't know about them.

I never meant to sound like all religious people are against this, so I am very sorry if I do. I know that I did make a lot of generalizations. And not only does it depend on how the person who is against it handles it, it also depends on the person who is gay. Personally, I could handle any number of people telling me that I'm sinful, or I'm going to hell or whatever. But there are plenty of people who honestly care what their family and religion think, and that mindset, even though you love the person, and you really do want the best for them... It could be too much for them to handle. Struggling with those two parts of them, even if you are accepting of them as a person, could drive them to do something extreme.

If someone is making me feel uncomfortable enough that I feel the need to go sit with someone, I'm pretty sure I've already made it very clear that I'm not interested. Also, sitting with someone just in case is not bitchy.

You can't just not have homosexuality because it conflicts with what your preacher says, any more than you can just not have ADD because your teacher says you need to focus. I am well aware that people struggle with homosexuality, but I think that if true acceptance were taught rather than the "oh, love the people but hate the sin" stuff there wouldn't be countless suicides every year because people just can't cope with not being gay. A counselor can't make someone stop being gay. Even those terrible anti-gay camps can't do that, they can only make someone feel even worse and make others feel the same.

people living their lives, regardless of whether it's "natural" or not. To me, that is far more basic than anything anyone else says. You know what isn't natural? Construction. Marriage. Cars. Science. Airplanes. /Antibiotics/. You know what is /very/ natural, according to, you know, nature? Rape, killing children that aren't yours, killing children that /are/ yours if you want /more/ children, murdering possible rivals, killing children that aren't normal. So yeah, let's all go be natural and forget about the things that make us human, like compassion and understanding, even for those we might not like. It's really none of yours or someone else's business what two (or more) consenting adults do behind closed doors, whether that's homosexuality, polygamy, or any number of other things.
