Individuals can write to their MPs though (not sure what the term is in the US, their local politician) and look to vote with their wallets for companies who are sustainable and eco-friendly.
Also, the danger with the war on plastic is that it is detracting from and actually feeding into the problem of greenhouse gases, sometimes plastic is more carbon friendly than other packaging for instance.

So after the watershed (9pm) TV is allowed to be more adult with swearing, nudity etc. The advert in the post is definitely fake though, it has The Poke's watermark on it which is a satirical site.

I wish people would put the locations on posts like these. Ok just reverse image searched and it's from an "architectural visualization company" i.e. doesn't really exist

Royalty especially had an expectation that the artist would leave out any blemishes. When Oliver Cromwell sat for a portrait by an artist who had previously painted royalty Cromwell asked that he paint his portrait "warts and all" as he was opposed to displays of vanity.

With regards to the first "fact" surely it depends on what type of tree, fir trees grow ridiculously fast, about a foot a year whereas something like oak takes much longer.
