Because people will link her to the show, because she acts on it. By not doing anything about it, it reflects badly on the company. If you make controversial comments, and you can be easily traced back to your workplace, people can and will do that. Under an anonymous profile, you can say or do whatever, but as soon as there is a connection between you and the workplace, it becomes a workplace issue.

My stance on this: Did I like what she said? No. Should she still be allowed to say it? Yes. Was it smart to fire her for it? Yes. It would do more harm than good to keep her on, at least economically. It's bad PR.

Yeah, I do, she compared being conservative to being Jewish in Nazi Germany, mocked mask mandates, suggested that widespread voter fraud occurred, appeared to disparage LGBT people, and endorsed posts that went against the BLM movement. She is perfectly within her rights to do those things. Just like Disney is perfectly within their rights to fire her for it.

She used her freedom of expression to say and do the things she said and did. Disney used theirs to fire her for it, because it would be a bad business decision to keep her on.

The moral of the story is that all people named Adam are hulkish but ultimately misunderstood monsters

Double actually, the monster (Adam), considered themselves as the offspring of the scientist, and used their name as such, so Frankenstein is a perfectly reasonable thing to call them.

Yeah, it's safe for you. It would be less safe if you went and got 20 every day for several years.
