It is usually the "independent and strong-willed" kids that act like little shits. I know this because I personally know many other moms who say they don't want little obedient robots, but can't understand why their kids are the only ones shouting and running around at restaurants. So, while I can appreciate the sentiment of this post, a little bit of passiveness and obedience isn't the worst thing in the world.

Well, this actually does look like its from a magazine. But I'm pretty sure most people are aware that "hippies" come in all shapes and sizes, and almost none follow Hollywood's "How to Look Like a Hippie" guide.

He actually didn't grow up in a conservative family (he's white and my mom is black, and no one had any issues with that). It's just that since retiring from the military, he sits at home listening to talk radio all morning, watches Fox News all night, and believes 99% of what he hears. He hasn't always been this way.

No apology needed. I'm constantly shocked that my sisters and I all turned out the way we did. And I don't know when my dad became the bitter, xenophobic, homophobic, old man.

I haven't faked a seizure for my young daughters (to show them when to get help), because I don't want them to think I'm faking it when I actually do have a seizure. Just not a smart thing to do.

Well, they might have brought about 5+ lbs of weed and lit it on fire in the ventilation system, so everyone inhaled the smoke. Although the smoke detectors would (should) have gone off, so the school would have been evacuated. Unless they prepared for that as well.

I could see my sister ironically doing this to piss of my mom; taking it everywhere since my mom didn't buy her a designer bag.
