I think it might be harsh for a lot of people to hear, but the fact is the vast majority of people going to see a Star Wars movie don't give one shit about your favorite novel, comic book, video game, or even the animated series. If they can find some way to work little bits of those into the films then that's cool but there's no point getting upset if something doesn't go by some rule established in the Clone Wars or whatever
