Some colleges a little differently than the others in the US. From some of the charts I am seeing, 92% to 89% doesn't even exist on the grading scale, and my old HS still uses the 100-92 is an A, 91 to 84 is a B, 83 to 76 is a C, 75 to 67 is an D, and everything else is an F.

Nope. I felt basically hunted down by my Naval recruiter, but I wouldn't change my decision to join for anything. I made lifelong friends, and felt pride serving my country.

My personal favorite was "Sure, you can be a flight mechanic". Get to MEPS, and told my line scores aren't high enough, but I'm definitely qualified to be a CTR (same job specialty as 35S for Army personnel), which requires a heavy background check, security clearances, etc. Yea, trust me with top secret info, but not an airplane.

I had it happen to me many many years ago. On a Greyhound from Florida to Colorado, and a young lady sat next to me. We chatted for a while, and some creeps a few rows back gave her bad vibes, so she asked if we could pretend to be gf/bf for the trip. So she used my shoulder as a pillow, the guys left her alone, and about 15 years later, she's one of my best friends and marrying into my family. So shit like this does sometimes happen.

Please explain how I am part of the problem. I have found if I ignore it for the most part, and pick and choose my own battles, I am less stressed and can focus more on spending my time with my family. I left my military lifestyle behind for the most part many years ago when I got discharged. I used to be extremely hotheaded and would pick a fight with anyone about anything. However, nowadays, everyone seems to have some sort of trigger. Every little thing someone says ends up pissing off someone else, amd sometimes that someone else is not even involved in the situation. It is sometimes better left to ignore and avoid to better spend time doing something more protective for my friends and family. I gave my time to the wrong people by giving in to a lot of the nonsense over the years. I just can't do it anymore. It is just not worth it. My daughter deserves better than that.

Some soldiers are bred for just fighting, and it is second nature to them. Others, like myself, dropped that aspect of ourselves when we had our kids. I've no issues getting into a verbal fight, but that is about as far as it goes. Causing pain and suffering on another person physically just is not worth it. Blindly following everything is not worth it. Everything has turned to nasty violence and it is ridiculous.

@famousone Can't really nail someone on those charges if the state is the one who set those laws up for that.

I'm sorry, but again, I'm not going to jail for disobeying the law and getting murder charges against me for bot doing what needs to be done. In extreme situations, yeah, I would, but if I don't have to, I won't.

Sorry, but some of us like to obey the laws of the land. We aren't you.

Some states have it that if you fire a warning shot, and the person doesn't stop and continues on their path of harm towards you, you can kill them and have no charges pressed.

But... it even says in the article that his brother was playing. Which means he was not playing. He was watching.

Perhaps he was petty. Also, perhaps, the gf was a gold digger. Perhaps she didn't give a damn about him and leeched off of him. Who knows!
