As the others said it's difficult to pinpoint, especially when you are the subject as you kind of just "slip" into depression without realising it. Suddenly you have no energy, everything is dull, when you smile or laugh you can't feel anything, your mind is fog, you start having an increased amount of negative thoughts about either yourself, the future, current situation etc. Of course just because you're in a tough spot or you feel down doesn't mean you have depression, like guest said though this doesn't make it any less important and you should seek help and talk to someone. This being said, a tough situation can cause depression so keep an eye on your mindset, the thoughts you're having (maybe keep a thought journal) any form of self-awareness is fantastic and PLEASE let others know how you feel! Even if you go "hey man, I'm not feeling too good rn" that's better than nothing and then you can take more steps into full conversations and positive therapeutic thinking. Talk to us.

That's what I find so great about laughter, it's not something that's taught and because it's unique to each person but someone the same everyone can understand you're laughing. It doesn't matter if you don't speak an ounce of their language or not.

Geography test my entire class failed in year 10:
Question: Write down the height of Mountain A using the topographic map given
My eyes: *struggling to read the blurry unidentifiable numbers let alone the name of each mountain of this map that looked like it was printed in 144p*

That's a relief, I mean it's never smart to drive while tired but also no one deserves to die from it
