Exactly, it's that dangerous need for these strange ideals that prevent lots of people from living their most ideal life. It's a funny sad kind of contradiction but you can see why it's so easy to fall into.

I like to ask my old classmates what they are doing just because I'm interested in their lives but mostly because I like to see how far they've deviated from their goal in school. Example is one of my friends, lovely girl who was going to become a doctor. Turns out this is what her parents and teachers wanted and now that she's got her own life she's becoming a primary school teacher and it's so nice to see that pressure of other people's idea of 'success' drop so they can do what they actually want.

I think the best in-between solution is to have a pine tree growing near your house that you can use every year, then you get the smell without death or plastic
Gifted a Bonsai tree, found an egg near the trunk - this little one hatched from it today 5 comments

I see why you think the way you do but it's a complicated issue, nothing is ever that simple. I wish it was though.

@famousone I know you're a very opinionated person and although I disagree with you most of the time, you usually have some decent reasoning. However, this time you seem to have have very minimal knowledge/ haven't done research on how this actually works. We HAVE controlled burn offs, we have specific seasons dedicated to them and this year our fire season started way earlier than it normally does (due to climate change) and this prevented our regular amount of burn offs to happen. In turn, each section of land that is burnt has to undergo a survey to check endangered plant species and habitats, usually they are burnt anyway if they are in close proximity to people but this process still has to be done to protect our wildlife as well as our people. Lastly, if we address the current fires going on in our country, the amount of burn offs we would have to do to 'counter' these or make any difference would be insanely unrealistic, most of the country would have to burn.

Garden spiders (wolf spiders) aren't that big, they're everywhere here. I'm a very chill person around any form of bug but I feel having those little guys looking for any form of crack they can hide in on my body is a no from me.

Give yourself some time, it hasn't been long and you have to process all of this before you can even start grieving. I'm sure your mum would love you regardless of how you grieve, you can't compare love between family.

I don't get how the lady thought the colour of the dogs coat would make any difference as I'm pretty sure that's still a Labrador

The only thing that bugged me about Batman was the fact he didn't kill, like the amount of lives he could've saved if he just did a Deadpool and popped a bullet or two.
