You know, here in Mexico we have a saying that goes like this: "A la prima se le arrima" that means (roughly) something like: You can bang your (female) cousin if both want. So maybe is not so insecure at all.
BTW I'm not saying all of us are rednecks or lannisters or something is just we don't care if is just for fun.
