I'm an atheist, but Gervais and Dawkins are both shitty people who'd rather make others feel stupid than try to respectfully give their thoughts and opinions.

I saw this for the first time at an animation festival in New Mexico like 5 years ago. Brad Neely makes some great stuff.

I love this idea in theory. I don't think many people knows what it means to be a citizen of this country beyond talking points about freedom and American exceptionalism. However, this nation was built and will thrive or die on volunteerism. By and large, Americans volunteer a lot, but there could always be more.

If you ever question the consent of your partner, then don't do it. Fun fact, not doing something is much easier than doing something.

The fact I've been told to raise my hands from an officer of the law is due to me not being a situation where that has been seen as warranted. But, nobody has answered my question.

I've never been asked, personally. I just want to know what orders I have to follow or risk being shot.

Is it just hands up, or do I do everything a police officer tells me to do for fear of being gunned down?

I don't believe white voices are being silenced. Rather, POC voices and experiences are taking their place in some arenas, displacing those voices. There will always be a place for traditional (and non-traditional) white American experiences. We're now just becoming more aware of more than that.

White privilege is a complex and sticky topic that DOES NOT MEAN "white people get handed things." It means that, for better or worse, a white person inherently has an advantage in most situations that a person of color would not. You may not have visibly seen this or consciously been a part of it, but it does exist, often times in the unseen fringes and interactions that most people don't even think about.

I think you are correct. I'm quoting Woody Allen quoting Groucho Marx in Annie Hall.

Much like the Woody Allen quote: "I wouldn't want to be a part of any club that would have me as a member."

Communism can encompass a wide array of beliefs and ideologies. Basically, what is described here is the Marxism (minus the class struggle, which is really half of all communism anyway), which is the most well known school of communism. There's also Stalinism, Leninism, Utopian Communism, Titoism, Maoism...there's a bunch of it.

He used all his money to start a charity for Sudanese families and spent a good chunk of his life spreading basketball to northern and eastern Africa. Manute Bol was a genuine badass.

Futurama had 7 seasons, 140 episodes, and 4 movies. Eventually, even the greatest shows have to end.

The Babadook is one freaky movie, and I recently watched Pontypool, which is also very good. It really depends on what kind of scare you're looking for.
