In "Elite" he's pushed to his moral and physical breaking point, and "All-Star" shows him using his superior intellect and knowledge. He often acts the fulcrum in the JLA, balancing out the homicidal Wonder Woman and vengeful Batman, too. The Snyder movies suck though.
