Terrible politicians are a symptom of an uneducated electorate. People will vote for the Face Eating Party then be surprised when they start eating faces.

I'm from the southwest and moved to way, way northern New England. For me, I can handle the cold, even when it gets into the negatives. It's the damn snow and ice I hate because I'm not a skilled snow driver and I have a little boxy car. When I have to drive in snow, I always go about 5 below and stop wayyyyy before the lights

The book is extremely militaristic, verging on fascist. The movie is very much a satire of it, which I think is lost on a lot of people.

I live in Burlington, and Brandon Del Pozzo is a legit badass. He worked for the NYPD and has a master's from Harvard. He also meets regularly with citizens and even goes out on random calls.

The wrong hands, Superman is a Mary Sue. The best Superman stories involve him having to restrain himself or using the other aspects of his powers. My two personal favorite Supes stories are "Superman vs. The Elite" and "All-Star Superman." In "Elite" he's pushed to his moral and physical breaking point, and "All-Star" shows him using his superior intellect and knowledge. He often acts the fulcrum in the JLA, balancing out the homicidal Wonder Woman and vengeful Batman, too. The Snyder movies suck though.

I wonder how many people told that old lady in Sweden that she can't hit neo-Nazis just because she "disagrees with them."

Not it doesn't. It was, and I guess still is, slang for talking or conversing.

The Ugly Laws were real. The "Dispose of Your Ugly Children Here" Laws were not.

This says absolutely nothing about disposing of unattractive children in trash cans. And that doesn't refute the fact that the picture is fake.

It's kind of disputed how much he weighed. The WWE said he was well past 600 pounds, but most accounts put him around 550. He was also around 7'4" and was quite the prodigious drinker. Also, the author Samuel Beckett used to give him rides to school!

Mercury himself has said that each person needs to find their own meaning in the song. I've heard the comics explanation, along with the song being about AIDS, the book The Stranger, and a demon looking for revenge on a killer. I think, like most songs, it's purposefully vague so you can make your own interpretation of the song.

Agreed famousone! Working during college and not spending all the money you have is a good policy. And to add to the military aspect, there are other forms of national service a person can do to help alleviate the cost of higher education.
