That moment you find out that a PROBABLE reason for why he has to eat like that is because he has a disease called mega esophagus and if he doesn't eat while standing/sitting upright the food won't get to his stomach; it will either stay in the esophagus, causing the dog to regurgitate it later on or it will enter the dogs lungs which can cause serious difficulties......
