Yeah. Dental and vision are separate costs in the US. And although you can get dental and/or vision insurance (separately) they are often pretty terrible and generally not worth the monthly payment (for a family plan, individual plans are hit or miss—in my experience).
Even if something is medical, like my father’s chemo/radiation caused damage to his jaw and teeth but that wasn’t covered under medical insurance because it was dentistry.

@guest_ I think the heart of this post is exactly what you said in the other gun control post. There’s a strong association with pro-gun and right wing politics.
The OP is likely pointing out the irony that the pro-gun poster is probably not a proponent of universal healthcare. Which may or may not be true.
And you’re right, regardless of gun politics, US healthcare system needs to be fixed.

Not all GMOs are good, but they aren’t wholesale bad either. But to say that GMOs are all bad when the alternative results in algal blooms or fish kills or barren soil or starving people or a number of other issues, is short sighted and Lacking research.

Actually, that’s specifically not true. And I know where you’re coming from, because I believed that once. But, I’ve worked with too many organic farmers (who tell horror stories about what’s organic) and too many scientists (that work toward solving environmental issues).
I think one of the most striking examples was when an organic farmer gave me some of his fresh produce and said make sure you wash it really well because the copper nitrate that we use as pesticide is very poisonous (but all natural and certified organic).
Do some research on safflower fields. They are grown organically and have a terrible environmental impact. Worse than gmo soy.
Or hey, look into the horrors of organic cheese. Did you know you have support the veal market with organic cheese? Because to be certified organic they have to use actual animal rennet from the cows stomach. Most cheese uses an engineered enzyme rennet that doesn’t require slaughtering another animal to get it.

To be clear, that post about miles of dick, was slut shaming pure and simple. And I did say he was a jerk for dropping her. So I find it a little confusing when y’all argue with me like I’m trying to say what he did was alright in any way.
I’m not trying to say there’s anything wrong with her number of partners; I also don’t think there’s anything wrong with not want to be #201. (Whether we are talking about boys or girls). Statistically speaking, as number of partners goes up, so does risk. That’s not an opinion.
However, that’s not what he described. (Which was my point) He implied that he was already having sex and he dumped her on account of her previous partners. And that’s a shitty thing to do. I didn’t mean to imply otherwise.

Check with the drug company to see if they have a hardship program. Most drug companies do and depending on the company the income they consider eligible is pretty high. Like 75-100k. It takes a little paperwork but the drug company mails the scrip, 100% free to your door.

This is so bizarre. Sure, sell your vag candles, but God why? And why do people want to purchase!?!

I could see maybe not wanting to start having sex with someone because you didn’t want the exposure, but once you’ve been exposed, what’s the point in dropping her now?

Yeah. I’m always a little bit amused by how few people know the origin of the term.

I think they just chose the name to mess with people. It’s a shame because it makes it hard to take them seriously and they actually have some good ideas, like don’t beat children.

Wado karate. But I’m too casual to act like I know what I’m doing. I like the work out and the katas. And I think it’s fun to spar. So I have a few friends who will up and just spar, outside of actual training. Got a buddy that teaching jujitsu, so I may start that.

Also: in golf it’s “fore” not “four.”
In food service we always said “behind” or “behind you, hot” or “behind you, knife.

Oh no! I don’t have experience fighting in a life or death situation. I just imagine adrenaline would give you the extra fuel to go on passed your regular ability.

I think the longest continuous sparring I’ve ever done is maybe 15-20 minutes, so I can’t say for sure. But I’d bet a trained indivisible with the adrenaline of a life or death fight could for sure do it.
