Well, that’s not entirely true either. If I want to sell you a product and know that most of the people that have already bought the product watch a specific movie or series, then I absolutely want to know if you are watching that movie/series so I can target you with an advertisement. Likewise, if I know you are using Ubereats, then I can target you with ads for specific restaurants or products that are often selected by ubereats users.
So, it’s not so much that anyone cares what you specifically are doing when and where, it’s that they want to be able to categorize you into a demographic that can be targeted in variety of ways.

However, forcibly microchipping the bodies of individuals is much more expensive with much less return than just using the readily available options already in play. We (as a population) already give up so much info—even when we believe we are being careful.
People think it’s just Facebook and google that are watching you and if you use a VPN and stay of the socials you’re safe. But the image is constructed from much more nuanced and varied sources.
Even if you eschew credit or debit cards, if you have a bank account, or utilize any bank/store/post office for cashing checks or buying money orders your location and activities are noted.

Seriously. We all already have them. In our pockets, in our wallets, in our cars, TVs, doorbells in just about everything.

Our new kitten that is pretty obsessed with leaves. She brings them into the house like she is drag a Buffalo inside. The funny part is, she is also very good at catching mice and bugs and such (which she also, most unfortunately, brings into the house).

I went to Costco a couple weeks ago and mentioned that I realized I was pretty hungry while there and got a hot dog. My kid (who has not had a delicious Costco hot dog) suggested that it was an awful experience. While correcting him, it dawned on my spouse and I that we were buying $1.50 Costco hot dogs for decades now and the price hasn’t changed.
So I see that is very intention. I can’t imagine they are making any money on that but it’s still kinda cool. $1.50 for a big/delicious hot dog and a soda was cheap 30 years ago...

Not to mention the long term side effects of COVID (even mild cases) may be severe and permanent, whereas anaphylaxis is typically resolved within minutes, or in some cases up to an hour or two.
That’s like going on a car ride without wearing a seatbelt and when the ride is over saying that it was a good idea because some people get friction burns from the seatbelts. Nevermind the number of people who die or get seriously injured because they weren’t wearing a seatbelt.

Also, crazy expensive. I thought it might make a fun gift, so I checked it out. I knew it would would cost a lot more than regular pineapple, but it was ridiculously more.

If I have to get up early then I eat and go to sleep pretty soon after. There just aren’t enough hours in the day to stop and eat before 8/9. :)

Sometimes we eat dinner that late. Especially in the summer when the suns up late.
But we also ate dinner late like that when we were early 20-somethings. At that time we worked food service, so generally didn’t get to eat dinner until after everyone ate dinner.

Hanger steak is not testicles. It’s actually a really tasty cut, often called the butchers cut because the butcher keeps it.
Not trying to comment on the bleu balls scene. Just saying that hanger steak (outside of that context) is a really good steak.

Steve Irwin has done more for animals than PETA ever will. Aside from raising awareness he raised quite a bit of money and developed rescue programs and sanctuaries. He wasn’t even interacting with the ray that killed him. Probably if he had been “harassing” it, it wouldn’t have got him.
Irwin loved animals. PETA loves the idea of them.

Lol. That’s right... so far...
But in seriousness, it hasn’t been transmitted to humans, but it could be.

You’re right, it’s a little more nuanced than just building the structures. It does in fact, require social investment as well.

Statistically speaking, there is a strong correlation between lack of education and crime/prison.
So, the statement that we have need for more room in prisons than in schools is really a statement of emphasis. We could have spent more money on education and not needed to build so many prisons.
