Neither his grandmother or mother were royalty. If you don't like the royal family, at least use a correct insult.

I Can't Be The Only Girl Who Has This Opinion 34 comments

While i myself am definitely more attracted to a man that dresses more classic, rather than trendy or ostentatious, if a guy wants to wear a neon pink jacket and cut off jeans, power to him.
Clothing can be used simply to cover up and stay warm, or it can be used to describe yourself and show of who you are. This kinda goes back to the "women shouldn't wear make-up because men aren't attracted to it," debate. Its fine to be attracted to either style. It's also fine to find one of them obnoxious or stuffy. When it comes down to it, people dress for themselves, and style can be incredibly personal. Like what you like, hate what you hate, but don't shame people for presenting themselves however they choose.

To be honest, if this technology got into our hands, this is probably exactly what would happen.

The problem with education nowadays 10 comments

If you turn 18, and do not know how to do taxes, create a budget, work, cook, do laundry and clean up after yourself, the school system hasn't failed you, your parents have. I'm not saying the curriculum at most schools doesn't need to be improved. But it's a parents job to teach and prepare you for the real world, not a schools.

No no no, not you. I think the other guy's got several accounts. Sorry, I wasn't very clear. I've just noticed that, along with child like taunting, you've had lots of your perfectly nice and normal comments blasted with down votes. I reason it's the same person, and not real FS users.

Judging by comments and down votes, I'd wager they've made several accounts or use several devices as guests, in their effort to be a total online dick.

If that's true, you won't mind me asking for where this "fact" can be verified. Are there research studies or anthropological papers you could site, with certified documentation by those educated and verified to make such a statement?

From Utah, Mormon, and my sister is gay. The right to marry legally is universal and should be open to everyone. It doesn't undermine my beliefs or life or rights for same sex couples to marry. I've never felt that my love, respect, or acceptance of someone, should be restrained because that person lives differently than me.

I think it's damaging to tell both men and women that efforts and time spent raising children, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and taking care of a home, are less then then making money. Being a parent is a lot of work, and beyond just the basic caregiving responsibilities, a parent teaches their children about the world. The very idea that "unless your paid its not work" undermines children and their needs to the very core. It is NOT more important to make money then tone a parent to your children. The world needs people who work, and caretakers of home and family. With out one or the other, society and life would crumble. Both roles deserve respect.

Exactly. It's about having choices rather then being told what your life will be. My older sister and brother in law are preparing for a baby right now. He will be a stay at home dad. My twin sister and her husband are doing the same, with her being the one to stay home. It's about creating a life and relationships that take your individual needs, weaknesses, strengths, and situation, and does what's best for you, instead of what other people think is "best" or "right".
I can be strong and compassionate. I can be driven and patient. I can be great at cooking and cleaning, and excell at my job. And same for men. Equality isn't about being the same. It's about being afforded the same options and choices for everyone. No one wants to be pigeonholed into a role because others think it's "how it's supposed to be".

One nice thing though, at 5'1, height of a guy is never an issue when dating. (If I dated...)

Good genetics plus access to expensive skincare. I'd also surmise she's very careful not to tan and has always worn sunscreen. Some people just look young. I'm 28 and still get mistaken for a high school student.

You'd be horrified and surprised by the things medical professionals used to do in the name of science. Lots of amazing medical breakthroughs came about because of some singleminded and risk taking doctors, (rabies vaccine). As well as some really horrific practices we now know to be worse than death, (lobotomies on the mentally ill).
Now, the "first, do no harm" of the Hippocratic oath is at the very center of medical experimentation.
For anyone interested in how messed up medicine has been throughout history, I recommend the podcast "sawbones". Really really funny an informative. I'd start out with the "medical cannibalism" episode.
