There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part. You can't even passively take part.

I beg the people who keep posting this to find the rest of it and post that, because leaving us wallowing in zombie and dog hurts is inhuman, literally lol. And with all of my Google skills I can't find if this has a part two

My local comic book store uses this question as a sizing up for new people "Who was your favorite Robin?" Anyone who answers Chris O'Donnell is sent to Barnes And Noble.

Barbara Gordon, who later became Oracle! Plus Batman has been in the Justice League, so he's had tons of partners

You should Google the hashtags, there are several articles about them both being jokes, and about both handbags being taken over by people who mocked the idea of overly vigilant relationships.

How I feel after putting on makeup for the first time in weeks 19 comments

I am youthful in my twentysomething way, lol. And I am a big fan of Philosophy, and other cosmetics that don't test on animals. Most things that are organic and certified cruelty free are normally way out of my price range- but since I consider makeup a luxury item I do my best to support companies that don't test on animals. Small steps, lol. Here is a great site with information on a bunch of products: http://www.leapingbunny.org/

Lol, Lace is vibrant and youthful- we would be in completely different categories of pageantry lol. And I use Philosophy Just Release Me makeup remover- it's one of the only none greasy ones I found that doesn't test on animals. Black eyeshadow rules, by the way- don't belt anyone tell you differently lol

This thread was inspired by one called that, actually. People did the same thing with #mygirlfriendisnotallowedto that they are doing with this one- making a mockery of the idea one "owns" their significant other, and hyperbolic to the max of possession. It was months ago- but a bunch of feminist blogs and twitters wrote about it (and participated lol), there are articles that list some of the best ones.

You and I would have to have a contest on that- I have a severe eyeliner addiction. To the point I had to buy the same eye makeup remover my best friend uses... And he's a drag queen. So don't feel too bad lol

While it's true women are more likely to enter part time work in order to take on the role of primary caretaker in the family as well, the fact still remains that when it comes to equal pay for equal work, a wage gap exists in almost all major fields of employment, with women making on average 75-88% of what their male counterparts are in the same jobs. In fact, it was this phenomenon that inspired the Lily Ledbetter Act (The Fair Pay Act) when a woman sued her company for paying her less than her male peers, inspiring court cases across the country.

Here is a great article from Business Weekly on the wage gap as it exists internally in professions: http://mobile.businessweek.com/articles/2012-06-21/equal-pay-plaintiffs-burden-of-proof

That could be an inspirational saying for really aggressive people, you know? With a little care, and toning down, maybe a wax- they too can be beautiful.

I would not recommend calling your girlfriend a hooker. Not sure where that came from on this post, but in general tell her she is wonderful for her accomplishments, and you're proud of her. Exnay on the hookeray.

I was just offline for a few hours going out to dinner- lol, and when I came back all the comments on my recent posts are different. I feel like I'm at a movie and got up to use the restroom at a crucial plot point. I hope everyone is okay!

It's like the Chris Rock saying, "Everyone wants to be black until the police show up" it applies everywhere, people take things from other cultures, stereotyping and minimizing what they really go through, while taking no risk of the "downfall" of actually being that minority.

Here is a link to about 2 dozen articles, studies, and editorials regarding the wage gap in the past two years, all saying in the low to average income jobs, the wage gap remains unchanged still about 23% in favor of men, more so when you bring issues of race into it as well: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/gender-pay-gap/
°
There was an opinion piece done in the Daily Beast which I think you might be referring to saying for high income jobs, such as CEOS and Wall Sreet Traders, the wage gap has disappeared. Which is true, but women also hold less than 10% of those positions, and are more likely to be passed over for promotions.
