How do you call Germany in your language? 7 comments

The reason Poles call it Niemcy is because they didn't understand the German language as its very different to Polish. So the word 'niemy' means 'mute' as in cannot speak, and so that's why it is called 'Niemcy'

In Polish there are soft and hard consonants of similar sounds. Ć and cz, dź and dż, ś and sz, ź and ż/rz

In Polish it's CZ and Ć. CZ is the voiceless retroflex afficaye, which is harder in pronunciation. Ć is the voiceless alveolo-palatal sibolant affricare which is softer.

Unfortunately I can't rate it if it's covered by trousers. Could you take them off for a more valid response?

They're made of paper. At the pharmacy I work in, I changed our till bin to a recycling bin so that unneeded receipts are kept there to recycle later.
A well thought out joke tbh 4 comments
