I know iced tea and I'm British. But tbh I only heard of its existence when I was younger because it was mentioned in Jumanji (1995)

That's a lie. Fridge is just a clipping of refrigerator. Instead of making it 'frige', they added the 'd' to make it mimic the sound of the 'j' as in 'badge' etc.
