To be fair, the Russian government did a lot to make sure that word didn't get out. And being in Siberia, it didn't affect bigger cities as much. I only found out a few days ago, when a Russian mutual on Tumblr made a post about it. Apparently the smoke was so bad that some of her relatives were having health problems.

Nah, I was doodling in an anime/manga art style yesterday when someone kindly informed that me that “that anime shit is whack”. Drew a portrait of an anime character and someone loudly giggled and said “I watched that in middle school, I can’t believe I was so immature back then.”
But in primary school, I would wear cloaks and point my “wand” (which was a fancy chopstick) at people who made fun of my cloak.
