I agree. But how often will you use it? You'll only use it if you get a job that involves mathematics. And in such a job you almost certainly won't need to know how to find the products of a chemical reaction. So why were you forced to learn it?

I love education personally. I like being able to look at chemical equations and understand them. I love solving complex math equations and find history fascinating. But I would rather know how I should go about getting a job if it won't be important to my future career. I would rather know what to do if I walked onto a crime scene. I would rather have an actual sex education rather than just "sex bad, use condom. disease. aids. death."
We should be introduced to all topics until perhaps 9th grade or lower. At that point we should be allowed to pick two or so classes to specialize in. This would free up time for classes that I spoke of earlier. This isn't a perfect plan, of course, but it is a start.

This is actually a good question. Will he ever use algebra? Why do we need to learn polynomial equations? Why don't we learn first aid? How to vote? How to get your own house? How to recognize common mental illnesses? Why are things that could save countless lives deemed unimportant?
I agree with learning about subjects. But I don't agree with forcing kids to take both history and chemistry and algebra and biology and so many others. We should introduce the topics and then let the child choose which one he wants to do. What? You say this would never work? Well, we call this choosing a major and is done by children all the time.
Chemistry is important. But if you are going to be a chemist then the middle name of the 19th president isn't important to you. Our time is wasted learning things that will never be used instead of being taught things that could literally save our lives.

Windows 10 is amazing. Why wouldn't anyone want it? It's such an upgrade from Windows 8 mostly because I never liked how the desktop and windows key thing worked.

Actually, Chernobyl is a *kinda* safe place. The radiation levels are pretty low in most areas with them only being at the same levels as you are in an airplane. The radiation IS higher than normal in many areas, particularly the very small area around the reactors, but that isn't dangerous. The background radiation is about 2mSv. The highest ever found at Chernobyl was 400mSv - that's 200x higher than normal. But that is the highest. Most of the area around Chernobyl is at a fairly safe level that doesn't put you at any more risk than driving and crashing your car.
Wildlife is actually thriving in Chernobyl. Without humans there to disturb them, they are living peaceful lives. The small amount of danger provided by the increased radiation is offset many, many times by the lack of humans in the area.
Radiation isn't that dangerous as long as you understand it which unfortunately the media doesn't like. If you understood radiation then you wouldn't be fooled by clickbait article

It's not an equal trade. You are sacrificing years of your life and possibly your actual life for something that gets little recognition and no guarantee that your death will be appreciated/wanted. If you want an example then just look at the Vietnam War welcome back celebrations.

It a way of demeaning another and invalidating their arguments/opinions. Don't worry; it's only a giant issue that needs to be dealt with in another thread.

How about we take measures to prevent them from happening rather than hope?

Because I'm actually a white girl stuck in an angsty male body obviously. What else?

It depends on how they're angled, but since that would be mostly random we can ignore it as it would fall on both equally as much.

Not really. Both are easy to do. You can either push them off the cliff or pull them back. Both take about the same amount of effort.

The only person who died for me was my grandmother and I think it was "Goodbye". It's only a matter of time before my grandparents keel over and then I might have a good story to tell when stuff like this comes up.

That's more of a Water Gun tbh, but I guess he gets battle points for effort.

@Zeus I was thinking more along the lines of whether you see your name with the special background around the font as well as the op-user green effect.

The travel time is insignificant. The point of the hypothetical is to question the legality of certain events when the United States literally has areas that are another time and can even be in another day. But if you want to think then use a private jet. It would only take 4 hours and 45 minutes to go from New York to California.

The amount of time doesn't matter. This was a hypothetical question about the legality of sex and time zones. For this we would assume that there is no travel time.
