Wtf refers to a commonly used phrase, what the fuck, while lol is an expression of laughter more than a phrase. That's why we translate wtf into words but not lol.

If nobody returned from time traveling then they could assume that either a law was preventing such or that there was a danger that prevented them. They would send an exploration device to discover such a thing and would undoubtedly realize what was happening.

Except that with time travel, the development of technology wouldn't matter as somewhere in the future transportation would catch up.

I don't. The news is always looking for a good story and this would easily be one.

The police were the main subject of the sentence, so I'd assume the police. It also would be a story about the police shooting a trespasser otherwise.

I don't think the real issue is about if he is innocent. The issue is that he very well could have been. The police could have killed an innocent man.

It is both. It is an expression of your personality which is the first impression people will have of you. I'm done with this. You're either too dumb to understand, in denial, or are just trolling.

Any technology that can travel through time should be able to approach near light speed to catch up to whatever they wanted to. It would be a mild disappointment at worst.

It doesn't. It's just a distinction that must be made to prevent misinformation.

The drinking of the alcohol isn't what gets you addicted. The effects it has on you makes you addicted to it. If holding a bottle of hot water gave the same effects then you'd become addicted to it.
tl;dr You don't get addicted to alcohol; you get addicted to what it does to you.

Moderation is key. I don't drink every night nor do I blackout. I am usually sober in a few hours before I go to sleep. I am also particularly careful because alcoholism was quite common in my family a few generations ago and, as I inherited their tolerance, I likely inherited the traits that make me more vulnerable.
You don't become an alcoholic through drinking alcohol. Alcohol isn't addictive in the slightest. However, people, some more than others according to genetic predisposition, get addicted to the effects that it causes. I don't enjoy the effects that much, but it can enhance any pleasures on occasion. I don't even experience hangovers due to my careful efforts to stay hydrated. I'm not just randomly drinking for the lolz; I know what I'm doing.

The idea that people can't enjoy themselves is "fucked up". I personally don't like the reduction in control over my body either, but the pleasure I get more than outweighs it. Not to mention that you can get a pleasant buzz while not losing any motor control. As long as you're responsible and don't harm others, I see no problem with drinking or the taking of drugs even if I don't enjoy said drugs myself.
Just because YOU don't like something doesn't mean other people cannot.

What about those depression powers? They don't affect everything obviously. Autistic people have other little powers.

You have a good point, but Spongebob takes a shower underwater and sits around a fire multiple times AND I was pretty young when I thought about it.
