It's a reverse imprint of a 3D object! It's amazing, and it's how scary houses create statues that always look at you no matter how you turn. It's basically making a funky mask that you can hang on the wall. Add dim lighting and bam! Because it's an indentation, the object will always seem to be matching no matter how you turn it.
But this is a bit more complicated. Do you see the checkerboard pattern? When the "cube" is seen from a sharp angle, the white and black appear to blend together causing a shaded illusion which also tricks your brain into thinking that it's actually moving.

That actually reminds me of a magic system I've heard of recently. There was a certain ability of one of the magic users where they could steal the signature ability of the user, but the ability couldn't be used in ways that contradicted the owner's philosophy. One example was the ability to manipulate objects. The person who stole the ability saw human corpses as objects, but the owner didn't see them as objects. This contradiction didn't allow the magic to affect human corpses because the owner's way of thinking contradicted the one who stole it.

Perfectly reasonable. I like testing certain areas when people say something rather vague. Most people don't really question some things, and I find it necessary for a sound mind to question beliefs. Creating a neat little list of criteria fits that nicely.
But what if they enjoy being human property? Imagine they were a species which coevolved with another species to the point where serving others was as natural an instict as eating is with us. Ignoring the unlikelyhood of such an evolution, what if they viewed themselves as property and/or wished it? This extends to human rights as what if they don't need/want certain human rights but also need/want other rights?

Do you mean Mary Higby Schweitzer? She never really claimed that it was red blood cells. At best, she indicated that it was possible. Later research showed that it was not blood cells, and she accepted that. I wasn't able to find the source, but I recall an interview where she stated that she regrets making that study due to how people have hijacked it for their own agenda.

It's a thought experiment. Diseases and other risks with being intimate with non-human beings. I'm not talking about a dog; I'm talking about Jeogryff the alien who works with you at the company.

This is somehow worse than the idiots who think they found a dinosaur with blood still in them.

What if it's another intelligent, sapient species who feels love in a way very similar to humans?

There are a few games that I've seen this. Pokemon, Yugioh, and Chess. The reason is that it's far easier to realize that the person across from you is an actual person when the game centers on that one person. Even if it is online, the idea still exists because of this. It's harder to recognize that a team of six people are individuals.

Every hero is the villian to some. Perspective is key here.
Let's have two people, Alfonz and Berny. Alfonz wants to stop his village from being destroyed and therefore wants to stop Berny from doing "something" that will destroy his village. But Berny also wants to stop his village from being destroyed and has to do "something" to prevent its destruction. Each person sees each other as the bad guy.

Very few people identify outside of a few specific categories such as male, female, or non-binary. Don't mistake idiots crying out for attention with people who suffer from mental damage from not being correctly identified.
