I'm sorry because I'm trying to be more cool, chill and laid back and I've been keeping out of posts with particular themes... but... Kholofelo can go fuck themselves.
Would you make fun of an amputee for their crutches?
Would you make fun of a paraplegic for their wheelchair?
Then why make fun of someone for glasses?
That's all it is, an appliance that lets them overcome a handicap. You think I wear my glasses for fun? I'd rather be able to see first thing in the morning, not worry about fog and rain, be able to see myself in the shower. Not pay $200 plus for a good pair of sunglasses and not have to switch them out.
Besides, I think a lady in a pair of glasses looks good... and I don't just mean pretty. I mean hooot.

Top tip, in addition to the suggestions here:
When you are sent out, get her EXACTLY what she asks for, the same "specifications" and in the same size package. Now is not the time for experimenting with something new and different package sizes could send the wrong message.
Do, however consiter getting her some ice cream, chocolate and pain relievers while you are out. Specifically, you want to get an anti-inflammatory.

Remarkably, Turtle Beach does actually make a fairly decent set of headphones.
Go for the midrange (or better) sets. I have a pair of XO Seven Pro and I'm quite happy with them.

I can't disagree with your scientific assessment of the perils. Water in volume is a truely terrifying thing. But... this is what sets us apart, is that we would risk life and limb to ensure the safety for others, strangers and even other species.

Well, when I found the hoodie one wear now, I liked it so much I bought a second in case it was discontinued and for that possibility of hoodie "theft."
I figure, she wants to wear it, an old and slightly worn article of my clothing that probably smells like me? I'm ok with that. I'd rather she "steel" it than shiver. Shiverin' girlfriends suck. I'd rather they look goofy and cuddly adorable, swimming in clothes that are probably 3-4 sizes too big.

Probably a thermal layer boundary, where the temperature change is significant and radical over a short distance.
This boundary layer can "force" clouds to stay at and below a specific altitude and prevent further condensation above that level.
