I am just a very thin layer of charming with some funny sprinkles wrapped around a huge creamy center of raging arrogant a-hole.

Why divided though? Why not unified?
We are allies after all.

Get what we want? WTF is that supposed to mean? An internet free from corporate meddling and censorship?

If Verizon is doing it, it violates the First Ammendment and current FCC regulations. They can get a colossal fine for it.

Fuck you and everything you think.
When my girlfreind comes back, I'm going to whisper in her ear and we are walking out the fucking door.

You want me back? Get over it, it's us. Call us when you have your head surgically removed from your asshole.

You pull that shit on me, I'm cutting you the fuck out of my life.

I served the US in the military as a defender of the nation, it's boarders and the constitution. I'm not jingoistic. I'm a patriot.

I believe that the US is the land of opportunity. I believe in the motto at the base of the Statue of Liberty. I believe in the motto if the US, e pluribus, unum; from many, one. That it is the diversity of the nation that gives us our strength.
I have proudly served beside many people from an incredibly diverse spectrum of gender, orientation, heritage and cultural background and along side many of the same from our allies.

So you mean to tell me that you are going to use the freedoms that I defended with the very blood, sweat and tears from the best years of my life, to be an arrogant, close minded, bigoted and unamerican cunt?

Could you design a banking system any worse? 4 comments

Welcome And thank you for joining us.
Tonight's top story. The Dow is down 5000 points at last report and trading was halted when a system error caused a catastrophic tailspin and dropped 4500 points in 27 minutes.
This all began at about 215 PM This afternoon when the systems at First National bank on Wall Street crashed and took most of the accounts managing transactions for the New York Stock Exchange with it.

Financial and IT experts are on scene now and have tentatuvely traced it to a bad line of code that was activated by an erroneous data entry.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.

In related news, at a press briefing the Pentagon has informed us that fearing a cyber attack, they have elevated to DEFCON 2 and the Navy has mobilized all fleets...

A fair point that has merit, but in the moment the way the wording caught me, it sounded like pseudoscience apologist rhetoric.
The same sort of language dialog that the supporters and defenders of the unscientific use.

"Oh, no one believed Einstein or Newton. The church persecuted Galileo. The church executed Bruno. Their persecutors were wrong. I/they are being singled out and 'persecuted', therefore I/they must be right."

It reeks of a variation of the appeal to antiquity/authority logical fallacy.

I'm still putting my trust in the science.
And as such, I'm gking to ask younto back up your claim with the evidence for the claim.
You CAN NOT just make a statement without the evidence to back it up.

Otherwise you are going to be no better than the ones who you claimed got snubbed, who likely received that treatment because they were cranks, charlatans and con artists.

Ok, that's cool.
Point does still stand though, there likely are people that DO genuinely think like that.
We really don't need hip new PC language when there are adequate words in the language already.

No, not really. Not in Egypt. Just a government desperately clinging to the "old ways" and certain social elements attempting to force their ideas onto/into governance.

Alcohol was never banned there, even with the expansion of Islam and a few years ago when I was there last, I got to try a beer touted as being from their from their first modern brewery, Sakara.
It was nice actually. A nutty, kind of pungent, strong flavor. Not my favorite, but generally nice. Would drink again.

Foreign gross is only good for bragging rights. The studio doesn't actually get that money.
Licenses for international distribution are sold and whatever they take above and beyond the license fee is all money in the bank.

The bottom line is, is that if you don't cover production cost, plus a certain percent with domestic revenue, the movie is a financial flop. At that point, the writer, director and producer are heavily scrutinized. It could be career ending.

New Ghostbusters? I have no opinion. Didn't see it because I: 1) didn't really have the time, 2) didnt care to get involved in the social brouhaha.
However, the best commentary and review I heard was that:

The VFX and the casting were good.
It fell flat becasue the script was terrible and the actesses had little to work with, likely a result of poor direction.

Secondarily, the movie completely ignored the first two. That's not a sequel, it's a reboot. Reboots are fine, just don't market it as a sequel if that's the case.

I lauged so hard when I learned that. When I found out the anti-piracy movement got caught pirating music.

Almost as good as when the hardcore right wing "family values" assholes get caught cheating on their wives in a homosexual relationship.

Fucking priceless.

Nope, simply stating that we already had a word for that. We didn't need another one, not when it is a divisive word that's also a fucking insult.

Weren't we trying to unify people under equality and not be insulting to each other?

Same holds true for "micro-aggression." We had a phrase for that too. It's called being a clueless insensitive asshole. We didn't need another one there and the original phrase was far more descriptive.

We already had a word for that: Condescending.

And if I do that, it's because I explain it the way I need things explained and taught to me sometimes. In excruciating detail so a 10 year old could understand.

Like I said, a long standing tradition.

Had I know then what I know now... it would have been a much harder decision to make.

What I have been given by fate lately though, I wouldn't want to change a thing. What I endured, while it pales in comparison, it still had brought me here.
