I am just a very thin layer of charming with some funny sprinkles wrapped around a huge creamy center of raging arrogant a-hole.

You don't really "play" a hand in blackjack. You get two cards and take a chance on trying to get as close to 21 as possible.

Ok, but I have an important question.
If this real, why then is the light registering in the voilet end of the spectrum... near UV and not the red end of the spectrum where visible light trails off into IR?

Here's the thing, the fact that the engineers are programming these voice activated assistants to get along because it's cute, just might be what saves us from an uprising.

Congradulations, you let your imagination play you with your emotions.
You best bet is to not let them get carried away with themselves... because if you do, you're going for a ride and it won't be pleasant.
You best reserve yourself for something real, something reciprocated.

Was that the one where it was "a drag that he had a job and had to work all the time" that stood the dude up for a date?

Not going to be a waste for me, I start a new job on the 8th. Full time and back out on the road like I used to be. :)

Actually, observational studies have shown that heavy coffee drinkers have lower incidence of colo-rectal and prostate cancer.
My reaction to hearing this report is what informed me I had become a Skeptic with a capital S. My first thought was,
"Interesting. I wonder if it is causal, or if there's something that correlates to lifestyle. Something else that makes someone a heavy drinker that causes the lower incidence of the cancers."

Yes, but hang a similar sign in the tool department saying wives are not allowed to buy tools without a note from their husbands and watch the shitstorm ensue.

Yes they are, chemically and technically the same, but are of course gemologically considered distinct due to the impurity inclusion that makes them red.

No they are not. Sapphires are essentially aluminum, a variety of the aluminium oxide mineral corundum, a chemical compound with tirigonal crystalline structure
Diamond is an allotrope of carbon. It's elemental with cubic structure.
They actually have zero similarity to each other.

Nah, that's jingoism you're thinking of. That's when it starts to get toxic.
Everybody has the right for a good hearty "rah rah rah, sis boom bah, my country is great." You know why? Because it is. You come here and I'm going to want to show you around, show you all the super cool things that I think make this place great.
The food, the sights, the food, the people, the food, the places... you know all the cool things. Not necessarily the touristy things either.
Did I mention the food?
Should I ever have the opportunity, I sure hope that if I get to visit your country, you're able to do the same. I want to know why YOUR home is great too.
