I am just a very thin layer of charming with some funny sprinkles wrapped around a huge creamy center of raging arrogant a-hole.

"Viewed as" the most powerful, but that his strictly due to the writers regularly and consistently expanding on his powers to maintain him as the most powerful being in the DC universe.
It's an incredibly cheap and unimaginative cop out to keep Marty Stu-ing him to keep him on top. Sad thing is, is that he isn't. Supes does keep getting shown up and put in his place, but both the fans and writers ignore that.
This is in complete opposition to Marvel where it doesn't matter one bit how powerful you are. You could be an Omega level mutant thay can bend the very fabric of reality itself to your will, there's always going to be someone more powerful.
There's always someone more powerful, they are going to find you and they are going to dome you a good one... and knowing Marvel, it just might be a damned talking raccoon.

At least you have one. In the UK, if you are I a catastrophic accident, you're covered.
If you are in a catastrophic accident in the US... even if you DO habe healthcare coverage, you're probably going to go bankrupt.

Yes, but this is coming from the UK. A country with an NHS where it is possible to get care and not go into crippling debt.
In the others that do not... what do we do? Suffer in silence and hope in vain it gets better.
Besides, even if we DO call a crisis hotline, there's a good chance SWAT is going to show up and kill us anyway.

But when you are communicating under the banner of a pop media outlet, you are their voice and are forming their stance and opinion in the public mind.
You don't speak as yourself, you speak as the institution.

They have admitted to intentionally slowing down older devices. This goes beyond designed obselesence, this is a case where the device lasted longer than Apple wanted it too and have executed a software push to slow the device.
Now, they allege that it was a measure to prolong battery life in aging devices, but frankly I think that "argument" would only hold water if it wasn't a sealed sytem. The software push forces the user to either pay for an expansive repair to have the battery replaced or simply upgrade to a newer device.
Beyond the lawsuit. I believe this will attract the attention of not one, but several government agencies including, but not limited to the FTC, the SEC and FCC.

Seems reasonable. That said, I think the program that interprets the data from the CCD for the display plays a role, It registers a signal, but doesn't understand that specific signal and reverts to perhaps an "error" color if you will.

It is a nerf... to nerf Superman. The writers were like, kryptoboy is too powerful. We're getting sick of the Marty Stu deus ex bullshit and we need to do something about it.

I'd be curious to see how the rest of this played out. Detaining a plane full of people against their will without charge is illegal and a huge violation of the constitution.

It's going to be terribly difficult to find an unbiased jury for that trial and even of they do he's still going to probably get away with all of it.
All his lawyer is going to have to do is play the "broken justice system" and ""the system failing to uphold victim's rights" cards and when the names are read of his alleged vicims, remind the jury with each name that they were a pedophile and rapist.

That works.
There is a word for what he is, even if he doesn't claim it... he probably doesn't even know the word. He's probably one of those I'm cool, better and smarter than you edge lords because I'm an atheist dipshits.
He's an antitheist.
I would bet a non trivial amount of money that he wants religion banned.
That's bad, just as bad as state sponsored, enforced religion or government regulated "freedom" concerning identity and orientation.
Look, I'm an atheist and I want religion to get the fuck out of government. It violates the establishment clause of the 1st Amendment, but so does banning it.
You want to mess with the religious literature in a bookstore? Leave them where they are and the ones that are still shrink wrapped? Put "Autographed Copy" stickers on a few of them. That's funny and harmless.

To the title, no. The principles of hydrostatic equilibrium prevent it. If gravity exists, it does too.
