I am just a very thin layer of charming with some funny sprinkles wrapped around a huge creamy center of raging arrogant a-hole.

The Apollo reliability percentage is not only off, but also subject to debate. It should be 85%, but BOTH accidents were related to the upper stages.
A cabin fire in Apollo 1 destroyed the capsule and killed the crew. In Apollo 13, an oxygen tank exploded and crippled the service module.
Doesn't say much about the system's reliability to deliver payload to orbit and beyond.

No. The $ sign is for US an Canadian dollars. (Maybe a few others too.)
Not to mention the US $ and CAN $ imprinted on the cover, publishers won't imprint that for overseas sales.

I'm sorry, but that's wrong. Turbofan engine power is measured in foot pounds of thrust, not horsepower.
Horsepower is a measurement of energy, a pound of thrust is a measurement of force.
The GE90 delivers 115,000 foot pounds of thrust and is the largest and most powerful turbofan in the world.
It was also developed into the GP7000, one of the two engine options for the A380.

Best guess: she's roughly 20, doggo is 11. As a "kid," let's say 10 years ago.... 2008, the height of the market collapse. I'm going to guess her dad got laid off and the bank foreclosed on their house. Wherever they moved to must have been pet restricted.

Indeed. I'm seeing it again after an entire year... and it still hurts. I'm getting choked up and my eyes are wet.

Looking our across the desert in Kuwait at sunrise with the reds and tans, it was remarkable how much like Mars it looked.

Genera is the plural of genus. Foxes are in the Canidae genera and are therefore dogs.

Foxes are mammals belonging to several genera of the family Canidae.
Canidae (from Latin, canis, “dog”) is a lineage of carnivorans that includes domestic dogs, wolves, coyotes, foxes, jackals, dingoes and others.

I imagined it starting out as a child's voice and growing older to an adult. A now grown, adult daughter leaving her "mother" to die alone on her death bed.

Doesn't look much like a crash landing, more like a successful emergency landing.

It all comes down to driving appropriately for the conditions. If that means stay home, stay your ass the fuck at home. Buuut people don't and that's why states like Massachusetts put in place travel bans when it gets "bad." They say it's for "public safety," but it's more likely so they don't have to put up with you non driving dumb ass on the street.
