Both cars are turned off and in park. 1. Red clip (plus) to dead battery's red (plus) pole first. 2. Other red clip to working battery's red pole. 3. Black clip (minus) to working battery's minus pole. 4. Other black clip to somewhere on the dead car's metal frame (not painted). 5. Start car with working battery and idle for a minute or so. 6. Crank car with dead battery and let run a few minutes. 7. Remove clips in the opposite order. 8. Drive the previously dead car around for 10-15 min to charge up the battery. I had many issues with my old car and had to carry around an extra battery for a few months. Jumpstart crank most of the time!

My car has a rain sensor so it decides itself what speed the wipers should go. I do not like such emasculation and therefore sometimes take back the control by turning the wipers to max. I look around furtively when doing this.

I make a meal plan for the week, convert to shopping list then go to the store. I have a list of my everyday recipes so just flip through that when I need inspiration. I always have a massive list of recipes I want to try, so I select 1 or 2 per week depending on how much time I have.
