Holy wow, I missed every reply after my reply about my username. I'd be completely NOT useful if a life depended upon succeeding at seeing replies. Sheesh. Deadpool gets all the stars for... being deadpool. :-)

With a bit of makeup and different clothes he'd be an awfully pretty grandma, in my opinion.

I now feel as though I need a party llama.

But... that's not necessarily entirely accurate. There are certain situations where fear, and the fight or flight response, is the natural reaction of the body.

No apologies allowed. The hella low lamb is one of the most amusing things on the interwebs.

I'd say you either aspirated stripper glitter, then punctured/collapsed a lung or you're experiencing the fabled FS feels... I think the glitter disaster option makes a better story, personally.

Good! You are exactly the kind of person who should be explaining your experiences and views; harsh criticism and foul language happen in emotionally charged conversations but calm, clear headed, thoughtful words are the way to change the world. One can be passionate and still be courteous. I always love meeting advocates that aren't overly aggressive. In my opinion you are a great example of the kind of person that should be advocating for the causes you believe in, because peoplewill listen!

Thank you! And lots of love to you! It's so great to be able to have an open conversation about things that can be tricky topics. I love hearing other people's opinions and experiences, and you state yours really well. That makes for a great learning experience.

You guys are both exactly why I love this site, the absolute embodiment of the kind of people I love seeing here! Thank you, Soullesspegasus, being a mom is the best part of my life and it's taught me a lot about how to be a better person. Taeminnieah you sound like someone who knows who they are and has their head on straight, and those are qualities that are so hard to find these days. I love running into people like both of you here, reminds me that there are great people in the world!

Taeminnieah: you said basically what my rambling could not. Whether something is normal, abnormal, common, or uncommon really doesn't matter. Especially in this day and age, I think everyone falls into one "abnormal" category or another and at the end of the day we should respect one another for who we are, not necessarily how we're perceived. Soullesspegasus: that was my other point; when it comes down to numbers transgender individuals, and people such as my daughter, ARE abnormal from a statistical standpoint. But being abnormal is no reason to stand for being treated as less than. I worry about my daughter every day, but I know that the world is a better place because she exists, no matter how "abnormal" other people think she is.

Stupid is maybe a brash word, but the idea here is right. My daughter has a rare genetic neurological condition (Segawa Syndrome, or DRD, for what it's worth) that is estimated at about a 1 in 1 million rate of prevalence. Her gait, inability to walk properly after about 4 pm, lack of coordination and general difficulty fully controlling her legs makes her abnormal. Her brain makes her different from probably every other person she'll ever meet. She gets picked on because she's very clearly different from other people. I've told her since day 1 of her diagnosis that the only things she can do are either try to explain the reason for her difference or ignore the ignorance. I'm not stupid though, and have never tried to pretend that she was born "normal", nor do I expect her to be able to function in the world under the pretense of normalcy. Sometimes you have to accept abnormal as the status quo and learn to adapt as best you can.

My name has a bit of background to it, and I am generally not a very snuggly person. I was also worried about spilling the secret on a hidden post, as sometimes half the fun is keeping the people who can't see it guessing. As far as that way of things is concerned you were both extraordinarily useful and I ruined everything.

It's called cupping, or something like that. It supposedly draws all the bad things out of your body, much like a vacuum gets dirt out of your carpeting. Because obviously you can suck cancer cells of of your skin, big pharma has been hoping you wouldn't find out.

Oh lord, yes, Hospice is amazing! I've had 2 extraordinary experiences with Hospice centers and cannot sing their praises enough. I meant it's heartbreaking that he was on the streets, homeless and sick prior to that. Who knows what the circumstances were, but homelessness and sickness tend to go hand in hand and I find that distressing. Most hospitals only allow service animals, so this man definitely ended up in the right place.

And I think most basement dwellers have to know how to handle furnace and hot water tank issues, given their proximity. So he's probably pretty handy around the house!

And I really love the way he's stretching his bottom lip area really tight across his teeth. It accentuates his jaw line in a big way. I can't handle this degree of awesome.

Thank you! I've never really paid attention to the times on things, sorry if that was a ridiculously stupid question!

Aaaaaaaaaahhhh, I'm so confused! The time on this post is 51 minutes ago, but the comment says 11 hours ago and I think my phone is some sort of time machine!!!! If so, I'm really glad because I love this. Words can have a huge impact and I wish people thought more before speaking sometimes.

I looked through these pictures 4 times and was getting ready to say the exact same thing. His arms look about the same size as my wrists. That's heartbreaking, and kind of makes me realize how much I take for granted every day.
