people can make simple magnets kinda easily, you can like rub fur against metal. Plus magnets have been used as early as 600 BC, so it'd probably be not too weird to ask for one during an era where medieval peasants exist. Any earlier and you're probably fucked. If they think you're a witch, threaten to kill them with magic or just run like mad!

This hit me unexpectedly hard, Linkin Park was the first band I listened to and actively enjoyed. I phased out of their music a few years back but they always held a special place in my heart. May he rest in piece, he was a good man, I'm sorry to see he died so early. He had 6 children, which saddens me even more. Let's hope they're doing okay.
