People really overstate the eye. Sure, it's great, but they have some pretty serious design flaws such as a blind spot, a short range of color absorption, inverting the image, and more. The eye of the squid is actually way better than our own. This is actually because these flaws were made early during the eye's evolution. It's a big flaw, but it's not so big a flaw that it doesn't stop being a survival advantage.

I've actually been getting more sleep lately. I heard it was supposed to help with depression, but I think I've gotten worse. I didn't start sleeping for the depression; it's just something I noticed. The bags under my eyes are starting to go away.

I like imagining new ways to add dimension to a graph. Sure, you have X, Y, and Z. But what about using a shape to represent the fourth? How about the color of that shape as the fifth? The size as the sixth? The temperature as the seventh? I think about this when I try to sleep sometimes.

If you put a 2d line in the first dimension, you get a dot. If you take a 3d cube in the second dimension, you get a square. If you put a 4D hypersphere into 3D space (like ours), it would appear as a normal sphere.
A square is just a collection of one dimensional points. A cube is a collection of two dimensional squares. A tesseract is a fouth dimensional shape that would be a collection of cubes. How is that even possible? How would you even visualize something with 3D objects as its outline?
Do you love me now?

I mean, I don't think they are... kinda. I'm the type of person to read the terms and conditions which included the student guidelines, and I recall that all the ones I read explicitly said not to come to school when you are sick. Of course, you don't have to have any symptoms to be carrying the disease. So yea, go vaccinate your kids.

Edgy is such a childish word. It is so meaningless and it is used as a "Haha, you're edgy therefore stop talking".

Technically, most of the Biblical rules only applied to Isrealites. The usage of "neighbor" is a somewhat mistranslated word. If you wanted to translate one of the commandments, then look at "You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor." It would better be translated as: "You shall not covet your fellow Isrealite's house..." I also used the NIV as it is the most accurate translation to date unless that has changed in the past few months.
Also, in that verse please notice that it is talking about the neighbor's property. Everything that he owns. His house, his donkey, his wife, his slaves, his ox, etc... Just something to take note of. The Bible mentions that women are property multiple times, but I've only recently noticed that it lists women among the property in the commandments.

Mars actually has very gentle sand storms. They're totally deadly, but the wind on Mars is very gentle. Think of someone slowly caressing you with sandpaper.

Also, to clarify to some people, Muslims are not a race. A muslim isn't someone of middle eastern descent. A muslim is someone who believes the teachings of Islam. When I say muslims are horrible people, I am saying that anyone who follows Islamic doctrine is a horrible person. I am not saying that anyone with a slight tint to their skin is horrible.

Then the issue lies in what we describe as normal circumstances. To the average muslim, the normal circumstances are what we would call a living nightmare. Under "normal" circumstances (e.g. a place where the teachings of Islam are natural), the murder of homosexuals is fine. I do want a world without violence and hate. I just don't see a world like that being possible with religion. Not all people who believe in Islam are evil. But you can't be good while also believing in Islam. Any good person who claims to be a muslim and good either doesn't really believe in Islam by ignoring most of what it teaches or is not really a good person. It's something I've talked about with people with Christianity. You cannot be a Christian while also not believing Jesus was the son of God. If you say you are a Christian who doesn't believe that, then you are either not really a Christian or so far detached from the teachings of Christianity that calling you a Christian is just silly.

The entire idea of the Bible being translated makes no sense if there really is a God behind it. There would be no need for it to be translated. It would be eternally written, impervious to age, nor even any need to replicate it. The entire idea of a human having any participation in the creation of the Bible single handedly destroys any type of credibility is could ever have.
Also, science 101 does not say that. Science 101 is that something doesn't exist unless you can demonstrate it. If you can demonstrate that it exists, then we have to assume that it does not. There is a quote that I love dearly, "The absence of reason to believe is reason to not believe."
Plus, the whole idea of not being able to understand God's ways is ridiculous. To even make that claim requires you to prove that there is a God and that this god has ways.
Science saves billions and shows that they have value. Theology finds an excuse to kill them all.

That's where we disagree asteroid. Muslims aren't inherently evil, but the majority of them would be perfectly okay with me being sentenced to death to the point where they would throw the rocks themselves.
I am glad that people are trying to be understanding of other cultures. It is a good thing. But people aren't trying to understand Islam. They are defending it as a knee jerk reaction. Listen to people who actually know about Islam. Listen to ex-muslims and people who have escaped muslim countries describe what it is really like. I actually have this video bookmarked because of how well it shows the way I see the majority of muslims. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVLx7pkCFjI

My issue with describing God like that is that it is non sensical. If God exists outside of time, then he exists in no time. If he exists outside of reality, then he exists outside of reality. You can not exist outside of time because that would mean you don't exist. You can't exist outside of reality because then you aren't real. And if it is indeed a metaphor, then why is the all powerful perfect book using metaphors? How do we know when it is being metaphorical and when it is being literal? If we can't be sure, then how can we ever use anything in the Bible?

I simply evaluated the benefits of living against not living. I admit that faulty brain chemistry is at play, but that doesn't mean I am not who I am. I am my brain even if my brain is faulty. I see far more negatives to living than positives.

I'll look into it tomorrow. I'm in Mobile, and I've already taken my pills. My research mind isn't at peak performance.
