My favorite thing about this is that it doesn't ignore men. A lot of people seem to forget that men get raped too.

Climate change over millions of years is indeed natural. A total shift in the entire planet's environment over a couple of decades due to humanity is not natural.

Honestly, I view people who don't accept climate change as equal to the people who believe the Earth is flat.

I mean, it kinda was a major mistake. When the USA joined the war, the war was done. They were a superpower with fresh troops, fresh supplies, and were so far away that it would have taken too much firepower to attack. When Japan attacked the US, it was the biggest mistake they could have made.

I have never taken that position. I simply took the evidence provided and gave the information that the majority of muslims in the world agree that sharia law should be the law of their country. http://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/08/09/muslims-and-islam-key-findings-in-the-u-s-and-around-the-world/

There are of course going to be muslims who are great people. I would even say that most muslims are good people who have been indoctrinated into believing or doing horrible things.

The issue isn't birth control; it's the catholic church's views on the use of condoms. The Church has a history of opposing the use of condoms. That history has not yet been overturned and Pope Francis. Further, I remember that the majority position is that any chemical or physical precautions taken during sex to be an abomination. All the Pope has to do is say "Yea, you should wear condoms to prevent the transfer of AIDs" and I would be happier.

The Church is indeed more progressive, but they simply aren't progressive enough. Thousands of people are dying and thousands more are being sentenced to death when all it would take is a single word from the Pope to solve this.

I really want to see a panda. They are just so foreign to me that it would be such an awe inspiring sight.

Literacy was really a major thing. People really underestimate it. Before you could cement your discoveries by word of mouth from Elder to Nooblet, the knowledge wouldn't be remembered. The same discoveries would be made over and over again. Being able to read and write allowed thousands of years of knowledge to be absorbed. Literacy was as big a revolution to humans as the first farm was.

If only he wouldn't advertise not using contraception. AIDS is a massive issue in Africa where they are being told not to use protection to prevent it.

But it's very nice to see him at least attempting to reform the church in some ways.

It reminds me of the saying "Blood is thicker than water". The actual phrase is, "The blood of the convenant is thicker than the water of the womb." Family is who you decide is family.

I wonder if this would be the earliest example of the fourth wall being broken in art. This is fairly common in comic books or manga where the character is so strong they break part of the panel.

I try to be as objective as possible. Whether people like it or not, I just try to be helpful. I think it is morally objectionable to not inform people of where and why they are wrong while providing the correct information. I would be embarassed to know I was wrong about something. But you know what? I would be even more embarassed to be wrong about something for one more day. I get into conversations where people get very angry at me for my attempting to explain why karma isn't real. I'm not arguing with them in the colloquial sense. I am just trying to see what they believe and if their belief has a proper basis. If karma exists, then I want to know. Unforunately, this person could only state that I couldn't prove karma doesn't exist. They took exception to my comparision in the inability to prove that leprachuans didn't exist.

So, I'm neither the judge nor lawyer. I would be the law. Objective and subject to change if you can demonstrate that these changes are needed.

I used to speak that as fluently as was possible with what was given. I still remember some of what that means, but I don't recall the exact words for this greeting.

What's that?

I don't have personal information. I tell everyone exactly what I'm thinking at the time. My therapist called it "A dangerous lack of empathy and social understanding" but I call it being a dangerously lacking in empathy and lacking an understanding of social norms.

When grandma thinks I can do better 5 comments
spiderwoman · 6 years ago
My grandma is really old school. She completely believes in the housewife. The woman cooks, cleans, does laundry, etc. My grandfather brags about never folding clothes in his life and that the people on driving down the road need to turn down their "nigger music". They're such a perfect example of racist southern folk ever and it's as sad as it is hilarious.

I mean, my sister takes nude showers with her friends. She's like 16 now. I'd say that's pretty gay, but she thinks it isn't. I don't think they do it commonly, but they did it at least once on the rare occasion I went to my father's house. I really want her to be a lesbian tbh. Our brother is in jail, my other one is a twenty-five year old badass who smokes, and I'm me with a whole host of issues you're not allowed to know about. She can't be normal. She has to be a raving lesbian. I want her to be butch. I want to see her as a feminist lesbian who refuses to shave her armpits. Nobody can be normal in our house.

But then again, she wasn't abused like us so idk.

The first time I read the term salting the Earth was in Eragon, and I was a little confused at the time. Was the Earth a little too bland for your taste buds? Wasn't salt extremely expensive? How would you even sprinkle the salt onto it? You're hands aren't that big.

Can you demonstrate that? Even if we accept that everyone has a certain feeling, why does that mean it is god? Should we assume that there is an all powerful, all knowing, all good, and all seeing god that created everything in existence? Or would it be more likely to assume that it's just something in our biology?

I've yet to have this feeling nor have I met god, and nor has anyone in the history of... well, history provided evidence that there is in fact a god. The default is to believe there is no god until proof that there is a god is provided. If you believe yourself to have proof, then I encourage you to share it with the scientific community as you will be rewarded with millions of dollars for revolutionizing our understanding of reality.

Yes. You are the only person who is right. There have been 100,000,000,000 people that have existed. Each of those people believe in a different god or even thousands of gods. Even a husband and wife who have gone to church every week together for their entire life will have a different idea of God. And your god is right. You, you in particular, are the enlightened holy man who knows the *real* god.
