Weather it happened or not, the point is that the thought of a possible lawsuit is clearly on the minds of people and may be influencing the descision to render aid. It seems like you just want to make this about men, if that is the case I'll bet $100 that nothing anyone says will sway you so again, you win the argument. <some> men have this mysterious agenda, we all heard it at the men meeting last month.

I don't think it's men trying to be victims, I think it's men (or anyone for that matter) being overly cautious in a litigious society. We have sued each other into paralysis. Now instead of just helping someone, we have to factor in a possible lawsuit.

They had to come up with these laws because scumbags were actually doing this, someone survived by recieving cpr and sued for damages because of broken ribs.

I've seen people get bonafide angry at an attractive girl dating/marrying an overweight guy. Zero reason other than the dude was fat. It's just the way things are. Fatties aren't supposed to have attractive girls, be successful, be smart, be the hero, etc..

I think it sets a good example for the rest of his management team to follow. From my experiences, the gap between the employees and management is an ever growing chasm in that many managers don't come up from the ranks any more and often they don't know the jobs being performed and the risks involved. I've had foremen tell me to do incredibly dangerous things simply because they don't know better. Just my two cents.
