Probably a training burn. Many departments will burn a house set for a teardown for live fire training. They would set one room at a time and finish with a surround and drown. I've been a part of a few of them and are invaluable experience for new firefighters.

If I remember right, the mile originated with the Roman army, it was the distance covered by a legion in 1,000 steps...mille passus or one thousand paces. Hence the name mile.

Talk to multiple people. I went to a therapist and she told me to try not being depressed (not in so many words). Then I tried a psychologist (psychiatrist?) And they wanted to medicate but my job doesn't allow such medications.
Keep talking to different people until you find one that works.
