Darn good thing we have science to discover things like this. I would have never suspected.

Perhaps the larger point to be made is that just because it's love doesn't mean it's a good idea. e.g. if you're a 36-year-old and you love a 10-year-old. Or if you fall for someone with irreconcilably different religious or cultural beliefs, for example.
Or, according to some, if you're the same gender.
Love is love, but make sure you don't let your brain turn to mush too.

Solid Photoshop skills though.
So my question is... what kind of girl is good at Photoshop but isn't overwhelmingly outnumbered by guys in her school or workplace?

Why I like Elon Musk 7 comments

A horn tooted by someone else is usually a lot louder than one you toot yourself.
My point is that I really can't conclude from this evidence alone that Elon Musk is a genuinely kind, giving person, because his action has such obvious business benefits. The most selfish person in the world would do something like this.

Does that mean a tapeworm loses its individual identity and becomes one with the creature or person it is inhabiting?

I wish I could disagree with that. But as a Utah Mormon, I really can't.

Maybe this is just the cynic in me, but the amount of positive publicity you get from providing free repairs in a case like this is easily worth the cost of repairing a single vehicle. No question. It's a steal.
If he had done it silently and privately, without broadcasting his act of charity with a loudspeaker, I would be much more impressed.

When she puts her hands together, one of them has to be on top.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if they just had her put her hands together, and when asked for an explanation, they just BSed it.
I mean, if they had her put the other hand on top, they could have said that they were putting her hands in the respectful martial arts position, more in line with her character.

Very proud to say, that's my alma mater.
Ah, BYU... Good times.
Went on the university's police beat feed and found this from a few days ago:
"Feb. 9 – An officer tried to stop a man on a bike. When the man saw the officer, he jumped a curb, went over an embankment, ditched his bike, ran inside In-N-Out and tried to hide by pretending to be a bench. The man was arrested."

I agree. Even better to not conceive it in the first place. Then you don't have to try and make yourself feel better about killing it.

@garlog My point is that it's plenty easy to figure out that ISIS is an enemy on my own.

So is it revolution to think ISIS needs to be wiped off the face of the earth?

Okay... but $40 million? Like, wth? There is no way she was so severely traumatized that she needs enough money to set her up comfortably for life. That's stupid.
Arrest her just for that, I say.

More people died from rejected white boys with weapons and toddlers than muslims in 14 yrs 197 comments

Regarding that last point -- yes, there is a problem. But the poster is using liberal reasoning for the first point and conservative reasoning for the second point. Of course it doesn't match up.
Generalizing here, but liberals don't think a Muslim with a gun is a Muslim problem, they think it's a gun problem. And conservatives don't think a white person with a gun is a gun problem, they think it's a person problem.

But they're so focused on hating the white people that they don't stop to notice that their own leaders are the ones screwing them over.
South Africans, especially black South Africans, are too caught up in race to see the real problem.

Deadpool you say that like South Africa is the only place in Africa where there is tension between ethnicities. White people certainly didn't cause the problems in Rwanda.
I get what you're saying, but any attempt to justify or excuse violence to any degree because of a few instances that got a lot of attention is silly and dangerous. If black people are just going to be reactionary and respond to any perceived abuse they receive 10 times over, how is anything going to get any better? It's just going to be more of the same.
Whites in South Africa certainly aren't blameless. But pretending they are the cause of all of SA's problems is nonsense.

Hmm... not sure that comparison is entirely accurate.
There's a difference between having an opinion on consequence and morality and having been heavily trained in a specific discipline.
Behind this argument is the same fundamental egocentrism that makes nearly every abortion argument fail. The pro-choice person thinks that the woman's body and experience and rights are the only real consideration. It fails to even attempt to address the pro-life perspective, which also considers the rights of the fetus. Rights that women are in no way magically more able to understand than men are.
Plus, getting told that your opinion doesn't matter because of your gender gets old real quick. Ths irony would be funny if it weren't so sad.
